This Morning, when I have accidentally and rarely seen it, is just lowbrow fluff and nonsense with two overpaid and overexposed narcissists giggling like schoolchildren and thinking they are really, really important journalists. They're not, and I would like to see the back of them. Bring it back to Richard and Judy days and give the show some credibility. I don't want to have analysis of drossy TV shows like soaps and Love Island.

I think the "he" mentioned in that post was Schofield, not Holly's husband. Schofield used to work for the BBC.

For alot of people, I don't think this is necessarily about the queueing.

I suspect the big Schofield cover up has left a bad taste and people are just looking for any old band wagon to jump on to get them out.

As a mother i take a dim view of Holly's unwavering loyalty to a man who, clearly, manipulated and took advantage of a young lad who was only a teenager when he met PS. The MSM might have had to brush it under the carpet thanks to that shiny big super injunction but a quick look on twitter (and elsewhere) shows that the public hasn't forgotten.

You see it on here all of the time, people are judged harshly for their alliances to generally shitty people.

I don't think the queue business is even an issue, but I do think they're shitty people and I'm sick of seeing their smug faces on the telly.

Insert the name of a respected colleague at work or one of your best friends, every time HW is mentioned on here…how does that make you feel? How would it make them feel? Would it make a difference to you if you had to put your own real name and your workplace after your post?

Was it just bad luck that they were recorded going past the coffin? I thought film crews generally weren’t given access and that there was pooled access from one set of cameras.

Look, the media were given a free pass. So were MPs and their families/friends. It’s the way these things work and there are freebies in all lines of work. I don’t blame them for grabbing the opportunity.

However, This Morning didn’t seem to do anything with the footage they gained (if there was any?) and that’s what makes it look like a freebie with no purpose. We didn’t really need Holly and Phil to tell us what it was like as we were hearing endless vox pops on the news from people coming out and the interviews in the queue were everywhere. Plus anyone could tune into the live stream on the mourners filing past.

Without knowing how many other media people took the free pass, it’s tricky to judge. I think they got caught, people have had it in for them for a while and they are not journalists. There is something different about Nicholas Witchell being sneaked in for a look ahead of a news report, but This Morning is light entertainment and didn’t need to be there at all.

How far up your own arse would you have to be not to at least think "hang on, David Beckham spent hours in the queue maybe I should just double check with the producer because this might not go down well"
