Will Holly walk?

Lots of comments about Holly W supposedly saying she’s going to quit This Morning..do you think she will, why? Would that be a good move?

Also those disabled people and OAPs knowingly joined an insanely long queue and did so of their own free will. P&H had a job to do, and don’t necessarily have the time to piss around waiting to do it

Yes I think the backlash is because they've become unpopular on their show. If say, Steph from Packed Lunch had jumped the queue I don't think she would have got the same backlash.

I agree @Inkanta - I think there's a lot of bad feeling about them and people are using this as an excuse to try to get rid of them.

I don't get the vitriol about Holly to be honest as she seems harmless enough, so I reckon with her it's a lot of jealousy.

However with Phil, if what's been reported about his actions with the young guy on the show are even half true, then it's no wonder the vitriol is there. He completely got away with it and has acted like some sort of brave saint ever since.

People are also angry on behalf of Eamonn & Ruth as it seems like they were shafted but H&P have been protected!

Part of the problem with both is they believe their own hype and do act superior to everyone else & now it seems people have had enough!

Yes and If whats reported is true I think Holly will be seen as his enabler and viewers don't like that behaviour either. I remember at the time thinking this will come back to bite her if she doesn't move on careerwise in another direction. She's talented. I like her work with Keith Lemon to be honest.

That's true and I'm surprised she hasn't distanced herself as she is talented and likeable and could easily move on (or at least she was - only time will tell now how this pans out for her).

What happened with her and Fern Cotton? They were great together for quite a long time but you never see them together now & FC seems to have disappeared from TV altogether.

I'm surprised this has gone on for so long. I had assume MPs and celebrities could get passes and that Beckham preferred to queue. It feels OTT now.

Oh the David Beckham thing was pathetic, making him out to be a hero for standing in a queue, he was stood Ina queue he was hardly saving life's.(I'm not blaming Beckham Im blaming the media)

I hate women being nasty about what another woman wears or speculates on what fillers and botox she's had. Surely women aren't so shallow that they actually dislike other women for those reasons so why make the comments?

Can't abide either of them but I really can't see the issue with this. They were just sent to do a job, it's like complaining that the security guards didn't queue.
The press are insufferable bullies sometimes.

I'm really not understanding why Holly is getting such a hard time but my OH suggested that Lawrence Llewelyn- Bowen and his wife should do it and I thought that was inspired! (I don't often think that about his ideas....)

You need two people that have chemistry or know each other really well - that's why husband and wife teams work so well. Alison, Rylan, Dermot etc do nothing for me as they just have no chemistry with each other at all. Lawrence and his wife would be a bit off the wall, would bounce off each other and I just think would be a bit more entertaining and it would be interesting to see how they interacted. Anyway just a completely random suggestion.

This - I don’t hate Holly, but I agree that her behaviour looks like enabling of Philip and grooming of a young boy. She could have distanced herself from him, but she chose to stand by his side. And ultimately I think this is going to negatively effect her career.

I think Philip is much worse than Holly, but I don’t like her either (I feel she is quite fake in her presenting style). I also find how they interview some of their guests (some of whom appear to have mental health issues) very patronising and in bad taste, I stopped watching before the whole living cost crisis game show. But from what I hear this was also done in bad taste. They are just not likeable people, and to be honest that is of their own fault due to their behaviour. There was once a time they were very much liked. This isn’t a result of jealousy or bullying. It’s just people wanting them to be held accountable for their behaviour and actions. Not be protected and abuse their privileges because of who they are. A lot of people just don’t like them anymore, for good reason too.

Nope. They’ve all had these ‘scandals’ at ITV- look at Ant and Dec and the phone competition scam, his drink driving etc. give it another 6 months and it’ll be forgotten.

Viewing figures for ‘This Morning’ will prob be very high this week.

If it's nothing to do with how she looks why have people commented on how she dresses, what fillers she has, if she has botox, how puffy her face is, that she was wearing a mask as she'd just been injected with whatever? What has that got to do with queuing or not queuing and what has being smug and irritating got to do with it? Other media people went through just like they did and no one cares. It is just a really stupid excuse to try and harm someone you don't like.

We have so many channels now, why don't people just switch channels? I remember when we only had one but now even without netflix/prime etc you have a lot of choice. Presumably they still have an audience or ITV would make changes so why not leave their fans to it and go and watch something else. I watch BBC2 at that time and I can recommend it.

I’m glad I won’t have suffer his irritating adverts anymore. I don’t t like H&P, never have done as they are unbearably smug so I don’t watch them.

Very pleased pip has been dropped!! That has to be one of the most irritating ads ever!! He’s insufferably smug in it, just like he is in everything he does!
Now M&S need drop the airhead now.
That would be icing on the cake!
