Neighbours walking on our drive and lawn

Our neighbours keep walking over our lawn and drive. Our neighbours to the left have stopped doing this once we spoke to them but currently our neighbours to the right keep doing this. We've been having problems with them as they are having building work done and have had to stop their builders parking on our drive.
We don't have a car so they've previously asked to park on our drive but we've said no. They are now constantly walking over our lawn. Our living room over looks the lawn so we see it constantly it's driving us nuts.
We've asked them to stop. What can we do about this? We're actually trying to move due to the neighbours.
Am I being unreasonable?

Put up a fence to stop them?
TheMarvelousMrsMaisel · 28/03/2022 13:10
Fence. Or automatic sprinklers?
TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 28/03/2022 13:12
Fence.
Or some kind of bramble affair.
Or well placed poo for them to step in.
liquidrevolution · 28/03/2022 13:13
water sprinker motion activated
Lochnessgiraffe · 28/03/2022 13:13
Unfortunately no fence is possible due to the way the lawns and drives are set up.
Sprinkler could be fun!
ForeverLooking · 28/03/2022 13:14
I'd do the sprinkler thing. If they get shitty about getting wet, you are watering the lawn and didn't expect random people to be wandering about on your garden uninvited. Rude fuckers.
litlealligator · 28/03/2022 13:16
Why are they walking on it? Is it an access route for them somewhere? Seems pretty strange.
Lochnessgiraffe · 28/03/2022 13:22
They walk from one neighbour to the other and we're in the middle. As neighbour to the left in currently parks on neighbour to the right drive due to the building work
Lochnessgiraffe · 28/03/2022 13:24
If we get motion sensored sprinkler they would get wet everytime they cross our lawn!
Rollercoaster1920 · 28/03/2022 13:26
Hedge. A spiky one.
PineappleRingo · 28/03/2022 13:28
Can you put a ring doorbell up or similar might be a good visual deterrent
Useranon1 · 28/03/2022 13:43
@Lochnessgiraffe
Well... exactly!
Fossilsmorefossils · 28/03/2022 13:44
Mumsnet rules: we need a diagram!
Annoying that they do that.
XYChromo · 28/03/2022 13:51
Is it a public right of way, is it your lawn on your title deeds, why can’t you put a fence up?
Riseholme · 28/03/2022 13:53
Get a load horn and honk it out the window everytime you see them on your lawn.
Riseholme · 28/03/2022 13:53
loud
Marvellousmadness · 28/03/2022 14:04
Nonsense. Of course you can put in a fence. Show us a drawing at least
Lochnessgiraffe · 28/03/2022 14:07
Let me do a drawing
Lochnessgiraffe · 28/03/2022 14:18
We're in the middle with an x. Grass is green and drive is stripy.

PollyPutTheKettleOnKettleOn · 28/03/2022 14:19
@Lochnessgiraffe
Now we're getting down to it!
XYChromo · 28/03/2022 14:19
Ok - why can’t you put a fence up?
FelicityPike · 28/03/2022 14:20
@Lochnessgiraffe
Isn’t that the point?
TheYearOfSmallThings · 28/03/2022 14:23
Could you get a sprinkler system like the fountains of Versailles so it would follow them across your lawn? Or maybe like those ones at the Bellagio which would come up in a ring around them when they reach the centre?
Aprilx · 28/03/2022 14:26
@Lochnessgiraffe
Why would a sprinkler be motion set to come on when people are nearby? Surely it would do the opposite and turn off!
Aprilx · 28/03/2022 14:27
@Lochnessgiraffe
Why couldn’t you put a fence on your bit of grass?
