Please read the formal review.

Essentially the teaching staff called the police because a black 15 year old girl smelt of cannabis. She was taken to a room and strip searched. She was on her period. Her mother wasn't notified. She was not given the opportunity for an appropriate adult to be present.

I had to sit down explain to my son this.

berlinbabylon · 22/03/2022 15:28

The teacher would mark her down (a grade B instead of A star ) meaning that she would not meet the requirements to study medicine . She was working at A star in both biology and chemistry

yes I wonder how many teenagers of non-white heritage were marked down on their exam grades during covid. Anonymous exams don't lie. It's not so easy with teacher assessment.

@Richtea2 Sad

My children are late teens and twenties and already extremely cynical about the world.

Apparently the teacher who called the police on Child Q has been sacked. Not sure how accurate it is as it's only been reported on MyLondon and nowhere else. I hope it is true as it's a step in the right direction. Ridiculous that it had to take two years and an outrage from the public for this to happen

The two police officers who strip searched the girl are finally no longer on front line duties.

It's not clear from that whether it's the two officers who actually did the search or not. I would have said there are major question marks around all of them, unless any of them actually had the sense to object to the search at the time.

FIVE police officers turned up to deal with ONE Black schoolgirl.

FIVE!! Police must have a lot of time on their hands.

Abhorrent, racist child abuse with several adults involved.

I am curious to know, if a teacher saw 5 police officers turn up to deal with 1 child - why on earth did their brains not register how concerning this is, in addition to police being called in the 1st place?

What on earth is the matter with people?

TooBigForMyBoots · 26/03/2022 12:23

FIVE police officers turned up to deal with ONE Black schoolgirl.

Yep, but they haven't got the resources to combat people trafficking, organised crime gangs, burglaries etc.

FIVE police officers turned up to deal with ONE Black schoolgirl.
If it wasn't printed it would be unbelievable that five police officers were assigned to the search.
Absolutely crazy.
