For me, it’s going into my bed with freshly washed bedsheets after I have a shower. Bliss.

Walks in the countryside
Scenic train journeys
Nights in with friends and wine
Dogs

Getting home from work on Monday afrer the cleaner has been and before the kids get back from school.

Day off work. No one else in the house leaving me to enjoy my knitting whilst I catch up on favourite telly.

sitting outside in the garden with the sun shining with a huge pot of coffee and toast! Our estate falls silent after 9 am and til 4pm and it feels like no one in the world exists but me! I love the peace!

Picking a bunch of flowers from my garden.

Watching starling murmurations. Swimming at night.
Tea and toast in the morning.
The smell of my husbands skin.

I love all these responses! Another one for me would be going for a walk in the countryside an early summer morning and admiring the scenery.

A simple pleasure I have that doesn't appear to have been mentioned yet is one that happened this week. My two young adult DC met up for a day out in London, and sent me a photo of them together.

It really makes me so happy to see them still making time for each other and enjoying each others company now they are busy adults.

DCat snoring is probably my favourite sound, it just fills me with contentment.

That is so lovely. I hope my dc are the same when they’re older.

The house to myself and a couple of hours to doze on the couch in comfies and blankets absolute bliss

I love a Saturday night, when the kids are both in bed, toys are tidy, candles lit, for me and DH to watch Saturday night telly (ant&Dec tonight!) With a takeaway or a fakeaway and a glass of wine. Can't wait for tonight😍🍷

Brand new bed covers, straight out the pack and onto the bed 🥰 When I wake up and my partners got up early and tidied the house… rare but always makes my day!

Waking up at 5am, making fresh coffee and read/watch tv before anyone else gets up. I make myself a nice breakfast too. Best part of my day. Im going to start walking the dog and listening to podcasts once tbe clocks change. It is total me time.

Finding and reading a book I can get really into, think about a lot and can't wait to get back to.
Choosing and putting on a cd, stretching out on the sofa listening with my over ear headphones that are still a novelty for me. Possibly a glass of wine too.

If everyone's out it's no headphones and dance around the kitchen and sing.

When milk comes to the boil and rises up the pan. Exciting every time.

Me too! I find it's one of the quickest ways to get to sleep, too - it somehow makes being tucked up in bed feel so comfortable and relaxing.
