What’s your favourite simple pleasure?

For me, it’s going into my bed with freshly washed bedsheets after I have a shower. Bliss.

Agree with waking up early and seeing you still have hours left before you have to get up.
A cup of tea in bed.
Reading for an hour in bed before going to sleep.
Hot shower with a hot chocolate for after.
Lie ins.
Fresh bed sheets.
Cold can of coke.
Marmite on toast.

When DC are asleep so I can eat all the junk food I've refrained from eating in their vicinity, followed by a mug of tea/coffee, something good to watch and my latest crochet project

In the summer, a warm weekend afternoon, lying in my garden in a hammock, with a cryptic crossword, listening to test match special on the radio
In the winter, a strong cup of earl grey tea, chocolate biscuits, cosy sofa and a good book.
In spring, being in the garden, listening to the birds and seeing the new buds on the plants.
In autumn, Saturday nights with my kids on the sofa, listening to their commentary on strictly come dancing whilst we have cake and I have a proper coffee

Swimming in the sea, walking in the woods, reading a book in bed, painting by myself, a pot of tea just for me.

Silence

Sitting on the couch with a cup of coffee, a slice of cake, a trashy box set on Netflix, and my latest crochet project. Usually the cat joins me too!
Going to bed and not setting an alarm clock.
When ds drives me somewhere and I can sit back and be a passenger.
Spotting a nine letter word on countdown.

Getting to read my book uninterrupted for an hour.

Walking the dogs late at night when no one is around.

A bubble bath with candles.

Snuggling up on the couch with the dc and dozing.

An afternoon nap.

Sitting in the garden with a coffee.

Walking on fresh snow.

Swimming outdoors.

Painting my nails.

Early retired so no alarm set except when travelling to the airport for our numerous holidays. Sorry 😣

Home made Irish stew for tea.

An hour or so of complete silence and solitude.

Two nights ago I had washed and line dried my bedding, dh put it all back on while I cleaned the kitchen. I was all excited to go to bed, dh was asleep when I went up, I got into bed and realised he'd put the duvet on inside out, I could've killed him in his sleep, I was devastated!

Tea & cake, in a nice cafe, by myself.

Time alone.

My feather and memory foam pillow, like laying your head on a supportive cloud. I am thankful for it every night.

A Cadbury's Creme Egg with a nice glass of chilled chardonnay.

Lovely coffee and croissant every Saturday, after a 10k walk

Going to bed on Friday after a long week, tired, fantasing and dreaming, and falling into a deep deep sleep.

A nice hot shower.

Home made cake. Any kind but it must be home-made.
Assam tea or cafetière coffee to drink with it would be nice too.

Going for an early morning walk with my youngest in the pram and getting a takeaway coffee.

Afternoon naps.

Cup of tea and a chocolate bar with a good movie.

Stroking my dogs velvety ears 😍
Walking on frosty grass
Seeing a bird use my bird bath
Watching bees on my rosemary
My little nephews hand in mine

Hanging my washing on the line on a sunny morning with the birds singing loudly in the hedge.

A warm bath and lying in bed watching a few videos on my laptop with a cuppa.

Yorkshire tea with pot of warm rice pudding, topped in raspberry jam.

Saturday... Day off housework. Steak dinner bottle of wine and tv. Fresh bedding and Sunday morning breakfast in bed.Bliss.
