For me, it’s going into my bed with freshly washed bedsheets after I have a shower. Bliss.

I love it when my cat rubs up against my freshly shaved legs!

BuddhaForMary · 25/02/2022 21:36

When my kids are all home, warm and fed, the low (and sometimes loud) buzz of them all doing their thing. That's when all's well in my world and I can fully relax.

Waking early and making a coffee, watching the dogs run round the garden while I drink my brew and watch them from the window while the rest of the house sleeps.

An early night after a bath, with a tea and some chocolate and Netflix.

StuckInABook · 25/02/2022 21:38

Reading (or rereading) a book by a favorite author, walking my dog or just enjoying a cup of tea and some homemade baking.

Sn0tnose · 25/02/2022 21:39

In the summer, when it’s going to be a really warm day, sitting outside really early and getting warmed up by the sun while it’s still really quiet.

And in the evening, being at the beach as it’s getting dark, then getting into a car that’s all warm from sitting into the sun all afternoon to go home.

Both children asleep and I'm Cosey on the sofa when watching a boxset im hooked on! 🥰

DePfeffoff · 25/02/2022 21:44

An open log fire. Yes, I know it's all wrong environmentally, but I find it so relaxing just watching the flames, especially as the embers die down and become like jewels.

easyluckyfree · 25/02/2022 21:48

I’m living at my parents’ at the moment so I love being in my room and hearing them downstairs laughing at the television together in the evenings.

The first sunny days in spring when it’s still cold and maybe a bit breezy but there’s that really crisp blue sky and snowdrops growing.

Getting into bed after a bath having shaved my legs, fresh sheets, wax melt on, fairy lights on, electric blanket on, main light off. Settling down to read a book or watch something comforting like Gavin and Stacey.

My first cup of tea in the morning, preferably in bed! It’s half term now and it’s been so nice.

Me in about 15 mins. Can’t wait
GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 25/02/2022 21:51

A cup of tea was the first thing to spring to mind!

But yes, also clean bed sheets, clean PJs and clean me (so a bath or shower before bed) all in combo is fantastic

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 25/02/2022 21:51

Going to bed with a cup of tea and a good book (or Kindle).

Mellowyellow222 · 25/02/2022 21:52

A club sandwich. And a glass of white wine.

HalfaShilling · 25/02/2022 21:53

Sitting on my arse with a frothy coffee and a bar of chocolate to read Mumsnet.

pilates · 25/02/2022 21:54

Having an afternoon nap with no one else in the house.

MiddleParking · 25/02/2022 21:58

Camembert.

Toseland · 25/02/2022 22:02

My son and partner leaving the house at 8 and I start work at 9 (wfh) - a whole hour to myself!

Tabitha005 · 25/02/2022 22:08

We've installed a deep, comfy bathtub in our bedroom and slipping into a lovely bubble bath with a good book and one of my husband's fabulous Bloody Marys is awesome.

Being up early, just me and the cat watching the birds from the comfort of the sofa with a cup of tea at hand.

A stack of fresh-smelling line-dried laundry.... leading to fresh bedlinen that night.

A super early night with no requirement to be up early the next morning; I read or play one of those relaxing, monotonous games on my phone.

A good pub lunch - especially in the winter, somewhere old and traditional with a roaring fire.

Finding a really good brocante, antique shop or barn full of old furniture and knick-knacks to root around in.

HotMummaSummer · 25/02/2022 22:13

A mug of ice cream or hot choc with my feet up in the evening.
I'm pregnant so it's a nice little something once my toddler is in bed, the kitchen is clean and the toys have been tidied Grin

A580Hojas · 25/02/2022 22:13

Waking up earlyish after a full night's sleep. Going downstairs to make a cup of tea. Taking it back to bed and drinking tea and reading for half an hour/an hour. I try to do this at least once on a weekend.

ghostmouse · 25/02/2022 22:16

A hot bath, fluffy pjs, hot cup of something and lying in bed watching telly and crocheting

38woman · 25/02/2022 22:20

A really good cup of tea
I second the cold can of coke suggestion
A really good bowl of pasta with cheese

HumbugWhale · 25/02/2022 22:21

Watching the birds in the garden, preferably with a hot drink.

Hedgesfullofbirds · 25/02/2022 22:21

A gorgeous sunrise, like this morning, a golden orb rising from over the hills. Or, conversely, lying in bed, watching a full moon, through my bedroom window as it travels across the sky, especially if the owls are hooting too. Or, midweek bellringing practice, down in the village, with the sound of the bells drifting across the fields, in the evening

Rupertgrintismyguiltypleasure · 25/02/2022 22:22

Going to the toilet without an argument starting.... everytime I go to the toilet someone kicks off 🤓

whysoserious123 · 25/02/2022 22:24

Waking up at a random time in the night, checking the clock and realising you have hours left you until you have to get up

Also when you get the days mixed up in an good way and get up and and realise it's Friday not Thursday
