To ask what salary...

prettyisall · 25/01/2022 18:39

I've just been having a chat with a friend about salary as he is currently on the look out for a new job, he was quite surprised when I told him my salary.

It's got me thinking, so what kind of Salary would you expect from this role?

Providing bespoke quotations to suit customers needs

Taking orders and entering onto account systems

Sending proforma invoices / taking payment

Putting together production sheets using formulas on excel for every order (always bespoke)

Answering phone and email queries

Outsourcing costs for components / ordering them when needed (this is not so often)

Taking care of all social media and website

Making Eflyers for marketing campaigns

All other basic administrative duties such as keeping spreadsheets up to date.

Location - Suffolk.
Time at Company - 15 years
Around 15 employees.

Somewhere in the region of £22k - £28k depending on how much they value loyalty

Bettybantz · 25/01/2022 18:56

Around £27,000?

Hollyhead · 25/01/2022 18:57

20-25k

VladmirsPoutine · 25/01/2022 18:57

22-25k?

AmyFl · 25/01/2022 18:58

£28000

Mintlegs · 25/01/2022 18:58

20.000-23.000

PrincessPaws · 25/01/2022 18:59

Depends on area and industry. In ours that would be around £30k

TheChosenTwo · 25/01/2022 18:59

My sister does a similar role for an independent company, she’s on about 20k, full time, good holiday allowance. (She’s 23 and been there for 3 years if that makes any difference!)

icelolly12 · 25/01/2022 18:59

19k-23k

doadeer · 25/01/2022 19:00

I would have said £24k but taking care of website and marketing duties - what do you mean by this? I would then say £32k

In my industry entry level marketing exec is on £22k-£24k

CrimbleCrumble1 · 25/01/2022 19:01

Would someone stay at the same company if they earned 19/20k!

Dsisproblem · 25/01/2022 19:01

25k depending on what exactly is involved in the bespoke quotes

jclm · 25/01/2022 19:02

In the Civil Service the admin part of the role would be around £22k. The social media would be higher, as a previous poster mentioned. Because it is a small company I would say £25k or lower but perhaps more due to length of service and it being a private company.

mcdog · 25/01/2022 19:02

Sound like an admin team lead role to me, so £25-£30k??

PeeAche · 25/01/2022 19:02

My company would pay £25k-27k for this role.

doadeer · 25/01/2022 19:02

*Taking care of all social media and website

Making Eflyers for marketing campaigns*

These two are the spanners in the works. It depends on the quality of the flyers and what you do to manage the website. This is a specialist skill set.

maddiemookins16mum · 25/01/2022 19:02

22K.

ShroomCuppaSoup · 25/01/2022 19:03

Sounds like Sales Admin. I’d have thought maybe £21-23k.

Atla · 25/01/2022 19:03

I would say just for the admin/order management (and being there 15 years) about £25k but I think the social media/marketing side of things would push the wage up a bit - £30k?

mardyandmafted · 25/01/2022 19:03

£25-£30k

TheUndoingProject · 25/01/2022 19:04

About 30k?

ineedsun · 25/01/2022 19:04

I’m only following because I’m nosey

Darbs76 · 25/01/2022 19:05

25k

TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo · 25/01/2022 19:05

Hard to say because I'm not in that area. I would guess at 20-22k.

TooWicked · 25/01/2022 19:06

Higher admin role - about 22k - but with the length of time you’ve been there and the website and marketing stuff I’d say 26-28k.
