I saw a spoof of this speech when I’d only heard about Boris losing his place and talking about peppa pig world. The comedian in the spoof did car noises and I did think “well that’s a bit silly, a bit far even for Johnson.” I didn’t realise until afterwards that that came from the actual speech!

There is some desperate straw clutching going on here in an attempt to defend Johnson.
If you have to tie yourself in that many knots to prove your point you’re probably in the wrong.
