Just that really

I have a loved one who has bipolar disorder and to me, this looked very much like a manic episode. If so, I hope he gets the help he needs.

While it does look as if there may be some underlying issues there, the whole thing has nicely diverted us all from the social care cap and the Health Bill. I am so cynical about Boris (many others too, but especially Boris) that I rather think we've all been played. It's Peppa I feel sorry for. And while Paultons do charge an absolute fortune to get in, apparently there have been some rather amusing Trip Advisor reviews over the last couple of days.

@countrygirl99

It's always sad when you see someone crumbling because they have been over promoted snd aren't up to the job.
What’s even sadder is when they are busy destroying your Country!

@InPraiseOfBacchus

Don't want to be that killjoy in the room, but can we cool it with the "manic episode" wording?

I can't tell if it's supposed to be a joke or an armchair diagnosis, but either way, it's not appropriate.

My armchair diagnosis is that BJ's just showing symptoms of being clueless about the subject matter and bad at improv.

Actually, I think ‘manic’ was a pretty apt descriptor, having witnessed first hand many (bipolar) manic episodes

@notacooldad

*Chatting with a mate recently over much wine, we both realised how "decent" politicians like Major I'm glad you put decent in inverted commas! John Major banging on about Back to basics and family values while he was banging Edwina Curry for four years! yeah, that's decent!
But the blatant financial corruption of Johnson, Rees-Mogg, Gove et al, coupled with their outright inhumanity towards the poor and vulnerable, is on a whole different level.
Peregrina · 28/11/2021 10:05

And Major at least was one of the architects of the Good Friday Agreement - which was a huge achievement helping to bring peace in N Ireland. What have Johnson, Rees-Mogg, Gove and company done which is in any way comparable?
