to be annoyed DH is going on a stag weekend to Amsterdam?

DH is going on a stag weekend after Christmas to Amsterdam and too be honest, I am not too happy about it. I have heard what really goes on and why men go there, i.e. sex shops, brothels, live sex shows etc.

The blokes he is going with are a bunch of knobs. I have heard the majority of them frequent these types of places (only from what DH has said).

DH went on a stag weekend to Edinburgh a few years back and the guy who's stag party it was, was well up for visiting a brothel and guess what? he is going on the stag weekend to Amsterdam .

AIBU to be annoyed about him going? I am feeling a bit down in the dumps today and keep thinking all sorts about what they will get up too.

Whatever happened to guys going for a few beers at the local? It seems the norm for stag weekends to be held abroad nowadays. WHY is that?

I think the discussion has just taken an interesting turn.

I'm fairly sure I don't do things (sexually or otherwise) that I wouldn't want my children to know about in general and sometimes specific if asked a direct question (like did you ever take drugs, sleep with people before daddy).

That's because we're pretty bloody vanilla over here - put simply, sex only involving each other with no others and no porn. Within that i would also be happy to answer general questions also about - what is that rabbit doing in the drawer? what's these fluffy handcuffs etc?

I would be really clear about bringing them up explaining my beliefs about everything from free range food to religion(while respecting others and the way they do things)

Really don't think sexual attitudes are any different

I won't use the word wrong, it is fine for some people but it's not part of my life and I think that some choices can hurt people.

So i would explain in an ordinary discussion when it comes up that other people do things differently. Like if it was in a soap on the telly.

I'm the type to wonder why though - I would rather they were actually comfortable with the choices they made and felt happy explaining them

Nah, not me, I can't wait til they are teenagers and can gross them out with all the terrible things I did as a teenager

Howver, it would be different if I was still doing them now.......

I wouldn't explain about a threesome but if asked directly I wouldn't lie - would put it entirely in context so they can benefit from experience. I had lots of drunken nights where I got into right trouble at college and I will be very happy to explain them - even the really horrible things
