Our society just doesn’t work for women

Not really an aibu but I am horrified by the Sabina Nessa murder. She was killed by a random stranger during a 5 min walk to meet a friend at 8 fucking 30 in the evening. What the fuck is this? Do we as women now need to hide ourselves away from 5pm to be safe?

We need to open our eyes that the collapse of the justice system, social care and community policing is going to make violent crime and assaults rocket. We shouldn’t have to hide but we do need to speak up. We don’t know what happened yet in this tragic case but please please speak up if you have privilege.

But your theory is they’d be more aggressive without men, why would they be?

Because people are motivated by self interest. So if someone has something they want, they will take it, given the chance. And sometimes by violence.

But if you honestly think that a society of women would be a happy calm society, that's up to you

No, I don’t think there would be no murders at all. But I also don’t think there would be more, I think there would be a lot, lot less. Because we know women don’t kill at anywhere near the same rate as men, and I don’t see why that would change.

I don’t follow the logic that if men are responsible for ten murders a year and women one murder a year, and we take away the men, women will suddenly start murdering eleven people a year to make up the numbers, no.
