To think WTF at him?

I've started dating someone. I've known him since last year but things have only started to get a bit romantic with dates for the past four or so months.

We both love nice food and on most of our recent dates we have eaten out. He's staying with parents at the moment waiting for his house sale to be completed but what gets me is that he never stays over, presumably because his parents would question where he was and they don't know about me yet, but what pisses me off more, is if we go for something to eat he'll only have a bit to eat, a starter or something because his dad will have made his tea. He says his dad prepares it early. It's fucking mad!!!

How old is he
How old is he
How old is he
How old is he
How old is he

Funnylittlefloozie · 09/08/2021 18:31

How do you "just know" that he is single? You don't really know anything about him, because you're not really a part of his life.

RainbowBriteUk · 09/08/2021 18:57

He's single! I know he is! I know some of his closest friends.

As for asking me his age repeatedly, it's getting boring now!

@RainbowBriteUk ......

Why are you not answering the posts of HOW OLD IS HE ?!!!?!

HmmmmmmInteresting · 09/08/2021 19:00

What's with the secrecy over his age? Confused

RainbowBriteUk · 09/08/2021 19:01

He's 43 ffs.

OP posts:
RaininSummer · 09/08/2021 19:04

Oh my. 43 and not man enough to tell his folks he is out for the evening. Not a good look.

HmmmmmmInteresting · 09/08/2021 19:06

@RainbowBriteUk

He's 43 ffs.
What on earth?! (At you being so aggressive and at him being 43)
EverybodyIsInteresting · 09/08/2021 19:06

@RainbowBriteUk

He's 43 ffs.
How to get most people to stop asking what age he is in one easy step!

No way would in date a 'man' of 43 that doesn't have enough gumption to tell his parents he won't be home for dinner.

But I'm still not convinced he's single. I dated a guy once, turned out he was married. I knew some of his mates.

There's either something he's not telling you, or he's spineless. Neither is attractive.

Dontbeme · 09/08/2021 19:09

When my now-ex was cheating on me he would eat dinner on the evenings he was at the other woman's house and then come home and eat a full dinner at ours, tell your fella to put his back into it!

(Never thought I would find humour in being cheated on and life destroyed so thanks for this thread)

OhGiveUp · 09/08/2021 19:09

43?? Is that his shoe size?

Teacupsandtoast · 09/08/2021 19:10

Is he skint? Sorry but this is giving me the ick factor and I don't even have to go on a date with him. Any normal adult wouldn't eat dinner knowing full well they were going for dinner....

RainbowBriteUk · 09/08/2021 19:11

@HmmmmmmInteresting Don't make me laugh

Did he put on weight during the time you were dating? I hope so!Grin
FayeFayeFayeFayeFaye · 09/08/2021 19:11

Is he short of money?

conspicuouslyinconspicuous · 09/08/2021 19:12

My partner does exactly the same!!!!

It drives me insane; he is also early 40s. Separated for a few years now and definitely living with his parents, whom I have met on several occasions.

It is only recently he has started to stay over and will let his dad know he won’t be home for dinner Hmm

We’re getting a deposit sorted for a house purchase soon, he spends nearly every waking hour round mine and we go away together regularly, so it’s not like he isn’t committed to our relationship.

So odd.

RainbowBriteUk · 09/08/2021 19:12

@Teacupsandtoast he has a good wage so has money and he pays for food/days out regularly.

Yeah, OP, it's annoying you because it's odd and unusual and deeply unsexy. I don't know what to suggest

felulageller · 09/08/2021 19:15

Oh I believe you when you say he's single.

There's a reason he's single.

RainbowBriteUk · 09/08/2021 19:15

@Dontbeme

You're welcome. Sorry you married a twat but good on you for leaving him. Hope you found your happy.

Choice4567 · 09/08/2021 19:16

Why do you want to carry on dating him?

Dontbeme · 09/08/2021 19:19

@RainbowBriteUk I'm getting there slowly but surely, thank you.

@HmmmmmmInteresting he did actually, his cholesterol skyrocketed too! 15 years down the drain but at least I'm not on heart attack watch.

RainbowBriteUk · 09/08/2021 19:19

@Choice4567 He has a big penis.

LadyJaye · 09/08/2021 19:19

You're dating a man of 43 who won't eat when he's out with you because his dad has cooked his dinner for him and his sister takes the mick out of him on SM for having a girlfriend?

Mate. Please. Get some self-respect.
