Can’t shake the feeling that something is weird/wrong?

Since the pandemic started really..it’s all seemed strange, some points I’ve convinced myself things are normal, but it’s there deep down bugging me. I just find it all so odd, the pushing of vaccines on young people for incentives, no real discussion being allowed apart from what is presented to us. Is this normal?! Or is it me that’s not 🤷🏻‍♀️Does anyone else feel like this?

Are you a JW ZedNot Zee? If not your beliefs seem identical.

Thatsjustwhatithink · 03/08/2021 20:12

@ZednotZee

What will happen to all us non-Christians,ZednotZee?

I believe that those who have lived a good ĺife, done good deeds, loved their fellow man and treated every stranger as their neighbour, or tried their very best to do so, because humans are fallible and perfection is the preserve of the divine...

Irrespective of their faith or lack thereof;

When Christ reveals himself they will accept him as the Lord and one true God, the only path to the Father and will be granted eternal life in heaven.

Faith is not the only path to living a good life, eschewing evil and approaching each day with love in your heart but it sure does help to have a relationship with Jesus.

I believe that many non Christians will find the path to heaven much easier than some of those who have ostensibly spent their days mired within organised religion.

The Papacy would, I'm sure, call themselves the epitome of Christian belief but in my opinion an overwhelming proportion of them will be spending eternity in Hell.

I'm fucked then. I won't be accepting some random bloke as the one true lord and god. I'd rather just be dead.

Interestingly, if I choose not to accept jesus because I don't want to, but have led a good life...do I go to hell...for not kneeling before him?

DameSlapsSlap · 03/08/2021 20:15

ZednotZee when you say demons, do you actually mean physical real life demons? And hell, you believe is an actual physical place?

ZednotZee · 03/08/2021 20:16

I don't know much about JW.

Apart from that they reject the trinity, which I do not.

I also had a blood transfusion on a couple of occasions so I don't think they'd want me either.

Actually I'm unsure what their issue is with blood products in general but I really needed those being rhesus negative and having only one rhesus negative child out of five.

ZednotZee · 03/08/2021 20:18

@DameSlapsSlap

Yes, actual demons, Baphomet and his mates.

No, not a physical place as at the time of death our souls are unencumbered by our physical body.

ZednotZee · 03/08/2021 20:23

Interestingly, if I choose not to accept jesus because I don't want to, but have led a good life...do I go to hell...for not kneeling before him?

I can't answer that, simply because I don't believe that in the event of armageddon anybody who has lived a good life, with all good intent is going to choose to side with the antichrist. At that point it will be very clear what is going on. We will not be subject to this ambiguity.

Also I don't know whether you are being unnecessarily glib but accepting Jesus has little to do with kneeling before him. Its merely an acceptance of his love for you.

Baluchistan95 · 03/08/2021 20:29

@ZednotZee

I hope you're not talking to your patients about "Satan".

Why ever would you think that I would I engage in a religious discussion with my patients? Hmm

Zed, Please ignore the trolls on here. This is great territory for the 77th brigade to infiltrate. Lol. +

But what if I want no part of his love as I don't want to be part of his world? Does my consent not come into it? I don't want some random blokes love.

And that's the choice is it? Accept my love or you're with the anti Christ? Sounds a bit controlling partner to me. Where my choice for a polite "thank you, but no"?

Because surely freewill should allow me the option of walking away, joing neither team jesus or team antichrist?

This is why people are not bothering with religion, because it just ends up sounding nuts.

DameSlapsSlap · 03/08/2021 20:34

Hardly a random bloke is he?! Hmm

At the end of the world, when there is no physical realm I don't believe that you would not accept objective reality, that God is the divine creator if this was blindingly obvious to you.

You can disagree with me of course but I don't believe that you will. There would be no logical reason for you, as a good person to do so.

I believe that at the end of days there is good, there is evil and there is no third way.

As a good person you will go to heaven and have eternal life because you will accept your true nature and the genesis of creation.

Jesus will not be 'some random bloke' he will be showing up as your saviour.

I can understand that as a non believer its difficult to accept but that is simply human ego and we all fall foul of this from time to time but experiencing the divine includes the loss of ego.

DameSlapsSlap · 03/08/2021 20:42

ZednotZee do you believe in aliens/other life forms out there somewhere and if so, is your God, God of them too? (Sorry for all the questions but this is infinitely more interesting than bloody covid Grin)

You're amazingly nuts. I just hope you're a troll. I didn't realise the end of the world was coming. I'll get packing. Will I need anything? A tent? A sword? I've just bought a new waterproof so I'll defo put that in. Shall I bring a gift for the antichrist? I think on balance I'm on team antichrist.

But no, religion, can go fuck itself. So can made up jesus. And made up god.

Man's ultimate conspiracy theory to control people, but mainly to control women. Poetic that it's part of a conspiracy theory thread.

When I die, I'll just decompose and become some rather nice compost. If I'm lucky perhaps a mushroom can grow on me. As a wise lion once said "when we die we become the grass"

How can you claim that you're not trying to insult or patronise people and come out with shite like this?

ZednotZee · 03/08/2021 20:50

@DameSlapsSlap

You know, on balance no, I don't think that I do.

Demons, yes
Angels, yes.

Aliens, you don't make the cut. Sorry Grin

ZednotZee · 03/08/2021 20:52

How can you claim that you're not trying to insult or patronise people and come out with shite like this?

Because I am aware of my intentions.

If you consider my beliefs to be variously patronising, insulting or, indeed shite then it isn't because I intended to present them as such.

DeleteSystem32 · 03/08/2021 20:55

@EYProvider

I always get the sense that it’s acceptable on Mumsnet to sneer at anyone with Christian beliefs. When I was younger, I might have secretly done the same, but I would have been too polite to say anything, and I probably wouldn’t have been inclined to either - everyone is entitled to believe what they want to believe after all. As I’ve got older however, I’ve started to think that there just might be something in the theory that at the bottom of the glass God is waiting,

That said, I doubt whether Satan is to blame for everything that’s gone wrong in the past 50 years or so. Satanism, I’m not sure about. I think that a lot of art has been put into the world by people who got turned on to Satanism, having tried every permutation of sex and every available drug, because they were gullible and bored, and that what we are now seeing is the influence of their cultural power on successive generations of people brought up on a steady diet of junk food and reality TV.

I highly doubt that Satan himself is controlling events. I can easily believe however that Satanists might be - or have done, and out of boredom and stupidity rather than any evil intent.

How can you complain about people criticising Christianity and call Satanists gullible bored promiscuous druggies?

@ZednotZee does it because she can't answer if accept the actual question which is

"Can I just opt out"

S/he has to fall back on grand story including the end of days because the idea of me just choosing to walk away doesn't fit into her narrative.

You just said non believers don't agree with you because we can't accept what you say because of our ego. You cannot pretend that that isn't insulting or patronising.
Geamhradh · 03/08/2021 20:57

@chitofftheshovel

I’m with you OP. There is definitely something sinister going on. If you look at the statistics 2013 had more deaths by percentage of the population than 2020. We’ve seen “the elite” being allowed, and enabled, to do the things us plebs have not been allowed to do. We’ve seen very elderly die of, well being elderly, having Covid put on their death certificates when it was actually a heart attack, which has massively skewed the figures Yes there is a virus out there. Yes it could kill you. But fuck me, you have to die of something. I don’t know if it’s been said but I believe in following the money - who has become even more rich from this shit show?
Link please? Because the only one i can find is the fact check debunk of the conspiracy theory that claimed, by giving false figures for 2020, that there were more deaths in 2013.
EYProvider · 03/08/2021 21:01

@Thatsjustwhatithink - No, it’s a choice between ‘Obey thy Mother and Father’ or ‘Do as thou wilt’.

One of those dictums creates social cohesion; the other will eventually lead to societal collapse.

For the past 50 years, we have been urged to ‘do as thou wilt’, usually by naive, drugged up musicians struggling to make sense of their own cultural power. Turns out they were more powerful than even they thought possible.

foxandbee · 03/08/2021 21:02

I don't agree with ZednotZee's beliefs at all, but he/she doesn't deserve some of the insults.

I agree with a pp that this is far more interesting than discussing covid and the usual conspiracy theories though!

I am not sure if I want to be around for the end of days. Although it might be nice to finally understand what the heck the meaning of life is.

What happens to all the dead people? Do they get resurrected?

MareofBeasttown · 03/08/2021 21:08

No its much simpler than that; I don't believe that there would be anywhere for you to walk away to.
