Something I've been thinking about recently, and had a discussion with friends. Were you in love with the first person you had PIV with?

I was not. Had a BF, I did like him, everyone else was at it, so we did it.

Not looking for any details, just a yes/no vote is OK

YES: I was in love
NO: I was not in love

Thought I was - another too-young-to really-know one here - but mainly just wanted some excitement and to get it over with. Can see it's sweet if people are in love, but I don't think it's that big a deal really. Better to get some rehearsal in before the main event Grin.

Probably early days to have been in love at the time. However we have now been together for 15 years and married for 6 so it came soon after!

Mine is much more complicated. 19 and together for six months, and I really did think I loved him. But I didn't want PIV, I was drunk one night, and I got PIV.

I was in a bad place mentally and he made me feel safe and secure. He was more in love with me than I was with him but it was a really positive relationship for me even though I knew it wasn't going to be forever (I was only 17 after all).

No and I knew I wasn’t. I’m not sure I even liked him that much really! Just wanted to get it out of the way and see what the big deal was. Loved the second person, but perhaps not at the first time we did it?

Yes, both 18, been together a good 6 months.
He was a goth, a lovely, gorgeous boy and I couldn't have wished for a better person.
Went our separate ways when we started uni.

No. I'd already done most things before with BF. But starting in college I was very good friends with guy from same club as me, we ended up having drinks one night, he came back to my place afterwards, and things went a bit further (and faster!) than I'd have planned in the sober cold light of day. It was OK though.

I wasn't in love at the time (age 15), but I went out with hill and bike up with him for 4 years. We're Facebook friends nearly 30 years later and I care about him.
