Locked parking thread 2

Sorry everyone I didn't post a new thread last night but I was a bit freaked out by the comment about finding me online at the end.

Anyway as the world's most boring update it is still here but someone is coming round about lunchtime to pick it up.

I rang 101 and reported it and that I was concerned they'd essentially vanished. They said there wasn't anything they could do about the car as its on private land but I could be liable for any damage if I moved it and that they would check on the registered owner.

I posted it on a couple of the local Facebook groups last night saying
"Anyone know whose cat this is? Please get them to contact me urgently on xxxx as itll be being towed tomorrow"

I had a response from the guys DS and she said she'd contact him and get him ring me. He hasn't rang me but she messaged me back to say he'd collect it at lunchtime if that was OK. I've said fine but we going out at at 2 so if he's not here before then he won't be able to get it till we get back later.

And that's it really.

Another vote here for stating it has to be HIM to collect the car, and apologise for being a piss taking CF. A cowardly piss taking CF at that.

And if he doesn't come I'd be regaling facebook with what he'd done along with his cowardice at not facing up to his CF actions.

BlueEyesWhiteDragon · 01/08/2021 10:33

Not just you!
If we eat out for lunch (actually it’s dinner) we don’t have dinner (actually it’s tea) later.

Don't you be coming on my thread with your outrageous notions of a middle of the day dinner. Everyone knows it's breakfast, lunch, tea, supper.

Although weirdly DM changes between lunch and dinner if its cold or hot meal respectively in the middle of the day, but we'd always have a Sunday Lunch which is clearly a cooked hot roast.....

I would go out a little earlier, say 1pm. Enjoy a drink at the pub before lunch! And definitely don't let anyone but him take the car.

Also - photograph the note and splash it all over social media (especially local pages) to show the entitlement of this guy. His family deserve to see just how much of a dick he is, and that note is one of the most entitled things I've read recently.

BalloonSlayer · 01/08/2021 10:34

You are being very nice. You could have said, no 12 o clock is not OK. It is trespassing I want it off my land NOW.

KnightandDay · 01/08/2021 10:37

I can't believe the CF doesn't have the balls to deal with you himself, git!
I agree he'll send his sister to collect it.

Primrosefields · 01/08/2021 10:39

I would message her back saying that he has 30 minutes to get to your front door if he wants his car today, as you was unable to receive a large delivery of animal feed yesterday because some inconsiderate idiot parked on your access. The company can only deliver at 11.30 so if his car is still there it will be boxed in by the delivery of hay, straw and feed.

What weird fuckery is this?

Everyone knows it is breakfast, elevenses, lunch, afternoon tea, high tea and supper. Hmm

Wish I was going to a carvery today.

BlueLobelia · 01/08/2021 10:41

I am betting no-one comes at all today.

I wouldnt worry about someone claiming they could find you easily online, they couldn't, they were just throwing their dummy out because other posters wouldn't agree with their post. They were fixated that you didn't have signs up (and kept saying you'd post a pic if you did). I even commented and said if they haven't got signs prove it seeing as you claim they are easily found. Funnily enough they didn't respond (because they knew you weren't as easily found as they claimed).

The car owner however is a petty little man, no balls to contact you himself so gets sister to do the messaging. Send your brother out when he arrives, as I feel he may Bethe type with a gobby mouth when he arrives

JADS · 01/08/2021 10:42

Wow that's really weird behaviour. What a weirdo. Definitely don't apologise.

TurquoiseDragon · 01/08/2021 10:44

@Fortheloveofgodwhy

OP you need to message back that lunchtime is no longer convenient. You’re going out in 20 mins and won’t be home until 10pm. Collect now or leave it until tomorrow. Make CF life awkward…
I'd do this. And also make it clear I'd only open the gate for the original driver. After all, you've seen him with the car, so know he's the driver, and you've no evidence that anyone is really connected with the idiot so you can't possibly release the car to just anyone. Because I wouldn't put it past an idiot like this to pull a different kind of stunt.
BlueLobelia · 01/08/2021 10:45

I read the claims they found you on google maps also. I mean- seriously? Where we used to live has a forest sided by at least 7 farms that would have met your description, and that is just in one (very small) area.

However, if you DO happen to end up with a picture of a car covered by manure and/or bird seed I would be most interested in seeing that. Wink

So dinner is off the list? I thought tea (assuming it's not just a cuppa) was a meal as well?

TurquoiseDragon · 01/08/2021 10:48

And I meant to add... Photos, photos, photos.

Just to avoid the possibility of any attempt at claiming from you in future. Including photos of the signs.

Still1nLove · 01/08/2021 10:49

Can’t wait for an update!

Haha!! Sorry!

I do call it lunch if we’re having something cold like sandwiches... packed lunch for example! Your MIL is correct! 🤣

HalzTangz · 01/08/2021 10:53

@Jumpingintosummer

I’m just horrified people were trying to find you on the map Confused
Wasn't people, it was one person making claims that he/she couldn't back up
FrippEnos · 01/08/2021 10:54

Just to add to the call for you to take photos of dickhead's vehicle.
Timestamped if possible.

Just to make sure that if he tries something you have evidence.

BlueEyesWhiteDragon · 01/08/2021 10:58

It was just one person but she was quite forceful. It just took me aback really. And then she called me old! Grin Angry

They are watching this thread and will not come with your DB is there - so don’t give too much detail - or say he is staying tell Xmas

GoldBar · 01/08/2021 11:03

I think I'd be fixing her with a long stare and saying to her when she turns up, "I suppose your brother's apology card for trespassing on my property will be coming in the post".

What a jellyfish, making a woman do his dirty work for him!

Yes, take it out on a completely innocent party, why not?
GoldBar · 01/08/2021 11:06

Well, she can always relay the message, can't she?!

firsttimedad79 · 01/08/2021 11:07

Blatantly placemarking :)
