Cheeky fckery

Queenie6655 · 16/07/2021 16:06

Hmmmm I have never come across much cheeky fckery before I must say

But my cousin is taking the fcking biscuit right now

Not heard from him in years
Random call few weeks back to ask if he could help to cut down some trees on my land (we never asked him to do so)

So few weeks later
He has made his way to one of our lovely areas of land with huge tractors - made a total mess

Got a random guy to come cut trees - no idea who he is but he throws his litter on the road every day for us to pick up

Now I would say he has cut down 40 trees
Looks like my cousin is building something and has seen the price of timber so tried to pretend he was doing us a favour

I'm raging with him
He has left such a mess

If I say something my elderly father will get upset but it just pisses me off so much I'm tempted to put a lock on the gate so he can't take the rest of the trees away 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I don't think going to a garden centre to get a few trees will help. It sounds like you need some formal/professional land management guidance / advice. Somewhere like the woodland trust or specialist land agents. Rather than allowing everything to go to rack and ruin. It sounds like all things considered some hard decisions have to be made around your dad and his support and for the farm and land/animals. What's to stop your cousin coming back with another scheme once you've left?

BrozTito · 18/07/2021 20:46

You actually could do if with garden centre saplings but would cost a fair whack. Ones i used came from the forrestry commission. Some birch and hazel at the edges, then cherry with some oak in the middle and a couple of yew cos i love them. Not sure where you could get them cheap unless you do it from seed

BrozTito · 18/07/2021 20:50

Just seen the woodland trust are doing free trees by application on their website, sorry cant do links atm but easy to google

@Queenie6655

He is a dick So I think we may have taken some of the neighbours trees as well as our own Or so he claims

Looking at the destruction he caused it seems like he cut at least 40 trees he says other wise 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Tell him to prove this...

you can prove where the Trees were felled.. can his mate ?

Nope

so let him Lie through his teeth... he'll get nowhere 🌸

GrandmaSteglitszch · 19/07/2021 00:42

It's good to see a walkover-OP actually pull themself together and take action, instead of continuing to whine as so many do on MN.
Well done Queenie.

hannayeah · 19/07/2021 01:29

The both should be prosecuted for coming on to your father’s land and damaging it. Tell him the neighbor can have the trees back when you get your get yours replanted and grown to the same size.

Will you count the stumps to see how many were taken down?

Thank you I need to but can't actually get in that far as it is in such a mess Anytime I go down I don't get as far as I hoped and leave in a rage

Is there anyone else that could do it for you?

LagunaBubbles · 19/07/2021 17:25

But my god lesson learnt

Hopefully. No good ever comes of not wanting to rock the boat in case you upset someone.

Queenie6655 · 14/08/2021 13:51

He's back !!!!

I took the padlock off to move some animals on for a few days and never in a million years thought it would need to go back on again

So guess who's cut more trees early this morning

And yes I know I slipped up

I thought he would not return

Take photos or videos.

Report to the police.

Put padlocks back on.

RogerBannister · 14/08/2021 14:21

You are being unreasonable for constantly leaving the ‘u’ out of ‘fuck’, ‘fucking’, ‘fuckery’ etc - what’s the point?

Does he have any legal rights to the land? Call the police if he doesnt. He is stealing from and destroying your land
Sh05 · 14/08/2021 14:33

You need to involve the police. Ranting on about him is not going to stop him. Forget talking to the rest of the family, he is sterling from you all. Get the police involved asap!

Naunet · 14/08/2021 14:33

100% call the police. What an entitled dickhead!

HyacynthBucket · 14/08/2021 14:38

Sorry OP but reading this I just feell so angry that someone like you has care of trees and lets someone just cut them down without taking care to know what they are doing or discuss it with them first. I feel sick.
Trees, like children or animals should be in the care of someone responsible who actually looks after them.
I notice your post was mainly about the mess left, not the destruction of the trees themselves. All that needless destruction because you couldn't be bothered or were weak minded. I am still fuming and upset at how unnecessary this was.
I am actually hoping from the way it is written, that this whole post is some kind of wind-up and not true.

QueenBee52 · 14/08/2021 14:40

Yes phone the Police

this man thinks he can piss all over you and it won't matter...

change that train of thought ...

keep the padlock on

ohfourfoxache · 14/08/2021 14:48

Police straight away - he was probably just waiting on the padlock being removed

godmum56 · 14/08/2021 14:49

lock the gate and charge for the wood

phishy · 14/08/2021 14:50

I agree, call the police!

SamVimes6 · 14/08/2021 15:36

*If I say something I risk upsetting my dad

If I put the lock on I hope me may take the hint

Fcking walkovers here
I wish I had the guts to say no or check things out sometimes*

The loss of 40+ trees will be far more upsetting. I’m sorry but you sound way beyond a wet blanket, grow up and tell him you don’t need any more trees clearing. You honestly can not be that much of a soft touch.

Lick the gate, tell him you don’t need any more trees removed.

SamVimes6 · 14/08/2021 15:36

Lock. Obviously.

Queenie6655 · 14/08/2021 16:15

Police have been called

Thing is I don't live there it is my fathers land and a neighbour had agreed to help us manage things

I drove by today and he was down with his tractor and trailer collecting what he cut early this morning
