Cheeky fckery

Queenie6655 · 16/07/2021 16:06

Hmmmm I have never come across much cheeky fckery before I must say

But my cousin is taking the fcking biscuit right now

Not heard from him in years
Random call few weeks back to ask if he could help to cut down some trees on my land (we never asked him to do so)

So few weeks later
He has made his way to one of our lovely areas of land with huge tractors - made a total mess

Got a random guy to come cut trees - no idea who he is but he throws his litter on the road every day for us to pick up

Now I would say he has cut down 40 trees
Looks like my cousin is building something and has seen the price of timber so tried to pretend he was doing us a favour

I'm raging with him
He has left such a mess

If I say something my elderly father will get upset but it just pisses me off so much I'm tempted to put a lock on the gate so he can't take the rest of the trees away 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Do it, start the conversation.

Then if you are contacted, you can express the families DEVASTATION!

Let the word get around.

Queenie6655 · 17/07/2021 14:22

He has his own land

He very easily good have taken these from his own area and not done this to us

When are you going to go and get the wood back OP? Would love to see the reaction of your cousin

GrandmaSteglitszch · 17/07/2021 17:01

Get the wood ASAP or it may disappear to a mystery location.

PerciphonePuma · 17/07/2021 17:16

@Queenie6655 Have you managed to recover the wood yet?

Queenie6655 · 17/07/2021 18:14

It's back my neighbour has it in his shed

He won't challenge me cos I'm not answering phone to him
Just so pissed off I let it happen

Thank you all

Very very useful info on here

I think, in addition to the suggestions given by PPs, you also need to get a full-time manager/agent in to manage your land, even if only in the short term.

I am from a farming background and 2k a. is a LOT of land for one person to manage, especially if you are away a lot, your siblings aren't interested and your father is unwell. I'm particularly concerned as you mention you have livestock.

Think of it as protecting your collateral.

Yes absolutely

I'm quite open that we are clueless and some people take advantage

Hugely appreciate the good advice here

Fck idiots who take advantage
Would never ever in a million years be mean enough or a big enough cheap skate to act this way

I think you found your voice 🎉☺️

Uramaki · 17/07/2021 22:47

Nice one!

GrandmaSteglitszch · 17/07/2021 22:51

Great news @Queenie6655.
You've been landed with a lot of responsibility which you weren't really prepared for.
I hope your wider family can continue to give you backup, in getting things organised.

If you don't already have Power of Attorney, I suggest consulting a lawyer about that if your father is still well enough to agree.
It can be a joint arrangement with other family members, if your Dad wants that.

Queenie6655 · 17/07/2021 22:57

Thanks again lovely people

We have got power of attorney in place

Just useless at making decisions and useless at standing up to certain people
Well it won't be happening again I know that much. !!!!!

You need to report him to the police, especially if there's any chance the trees were protected and felled illegally.

hannayeah · 17/07/2021 23:22

So glad you took it back! So he got nothing for the work. Is he calling?

billy1966 · 17/07/2021 23:33

I really think those photos should be up loaded.

It boils my piss that heathens like your cousin do things like that.

Letting everyone know what was done via pictures is powerful.

Also it will show him not to mess with you again.

picklemewalnuts · 18/07/2021 10:30

I agree you must report it- you need to protect yourself against being held responsible for taking down trees with TPOs or disturbing birds.

BrozTito · 18/07/2021 15:32

If you want to replant trees in the area you will be suprised how quickly it will regrow. I did a woodland plant 10 years ago and its already like a proper wood, pioneer species especially spring up. Maybe get onto sawmills and stuff for a decent price for the wood, do you know what species it was?

Queenie6655 · 18/07/2021 19:38

He is a dick
So I think we may have taken some of the neighbours trees as well as our own
Or so he claims

Looking at the destruction he caused it seems like he cut at least 40 trees he says other wise 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

What would be the best thing to use ??

Sorry for stupidity
I will go to garden centre when I get back from my next work trip

But ten years

Ughhh

This land was in perfect condition
It was great as it was

The tight arsed bastard why did he think he could do this

OP posts:
thecatsmum12346 · 18/07/2021 20:19

This is awful. Trees are precious and so important to the environment etc. You need to contact him now and speak to him and voice your concerns. It’s vandalism.

Queenie6655 · 18/07/2021 20:25

I have he is acting like the dick he is

So I'm done with him and avoiding him from now on

Cheap skate lier
