Sainsbury's tinned soups!! Their tomato nicer and thicker than heinz, also their own brand beans.
Any own brand weetabix too

1FootInTheRave · 17/06/2021 18:54

I had a basic cheese pizza from Tesco yesterday. One of the 67p ones. It was really good.

Easily as good as the more expensive brands, and far more cheese on it.

The frozen ones? Yes, I really rate them too.

Lidl face serum £2.99.
A few drops provides quenching moisture.

Namechangenumber23 · 17/06/2021 21:36

Asda skincare tea tree range nothing over £2.50. Keeps my oily skin controlled and has pretty much resolved my recurring issue with blind cystic spots and even when I (rarely) get spots now they are much much smaller, rarely blind and come and go quicker.

Asda eye make up remover £1
Collection illuminating under eye concealer
Collection translucent pressed powder with witch hazel
Collection primer with witch hazel
Collection liquid eyeliner (inkwell style)
Superdrug Optimum Retinol range
Creightons shampoos / conditioners

Aldi baby wipes

Anyone got any recommendations for nappies? We use Aldi and pampers

I'd pay double for pampers atm

dollophead · 18/06/2021 19:32

@Randominternetbitch

- Yes to Branston’s beans, Heinz is a watery artificial tasting mess
  • Aldi premium washing up liquid - far superior to Fairy Liquid
  • Morrisons tomato passata - lovely thick consistency, smooth and sweet tasting and a fraction of the price of the Napolina one
  • Elbow Grease - agree it’s magic but does anyone else struggle with the fumes?
  • Asda Fat Free Vinaigrette Dressing is yummy
  • Odd inclusion but hear me out: Anadin Extra for migraines - after years of taking various triptans and co-codamol that barely took the edge of the pain, I accidentally discovered that Anadin Extra kills mine 3 years ago and it’s literally changed my life. At £1 for 8 from the Poundshop, it beats the price of an nhs prescription.
DH is the same re. Anadin Extra for headaches. I think Boots do a cheap version too (just paracetamol, aspirin and caffeine). Great stuff.

Lidl choc chip cookies, in the red packet.
Lidl cappucino sachets, much nicer taste than bigger brands, and half the price.
Lidl nappies.
Lidl baby wipes.

I bloody love Lidl, full stop.

MrsBunHat · 18/06/2021 20:05

Superdrug Vitamin E and Naturally Radiant ranges - the vit e night and day creams and body moisturiser, and the NR glycolic peel especially.
Yes to Skodas! LOVE mine, it was a total bargain second hand now 10 years old and still brilliant.
Sainsbury's own brand instant mash (I know, sounds horrible but it's lovely)
Asda coleslaw and decorate-your own wedding/occasion cake
(not together :o)
Nivea tinted lip balms - similar results to expensive sheer lip gloss but for £2.50

RikkiTikkiTavvi · 19/06/2021 18:34

@Takenoprisoner Run white vinegar or soda crystals through a wash cycle. I sometimes put towels in with soda crystals on a hot wash - it cleans and helps combat limescale. Also cheap as chips.

Benjispruce3 · 20/06/2021 07:58

Vaseline( any brand) on your face at night=Plumped skin in the morning.

TheRealHousewife · 23/06/2021 17:20

@Benjispruce3 Really? I’d always thought Vaseline would block pores and cause outbreaks. Do you apply every night?

TheRealHousewife · 23/06/2021 17:21

@RikkiTikkiTavvi I think I’ll try that one! Thank you for sharing.

Aldi's version of the chocolate seashells 🤤 better than the original

Newgirls · 23/06/2021 17:27

@Catswithflamingos

Astonish’s version of Vanish. 99p a tub wow.

Astonish mould and mildew cleaner. Also a £1 product

Where do you buy astonish pls?
cupsofcoffee · 23/06/2021 17:31

Morrisons Nutmeg suncream. You barely need any of it and it's not greasy! It goes on and absorbs within 30 seconds.

I wear it daily as a dog walker so I'm getting hot and sweaty and I've never once burnt with it on.

Also, Morrisons raspberry jam donuts from their Market Street section!

rc22 · 23/06/2021 18:03

Nivea soft moisturiser. I get a big tub for £6 and works much better on me than the more expensive moisturiser I was using before.
