… flipped This thread. Thank you OP.

Branston baked beans = 45p

Elbow Grease All Purpose Degreaser/Cleaner = 99p

Both excellent and worth more imho

What’s your cheapo hero products

I have never seen dry shampoo in Aldi but the Lidl one is excellent. Really lightweight and doesn't clog up your hair. Never shell out for Batiste now when I can stock up on theirs.

Also the Lidl fancy pesto houmous is better than the premium supermarket ones by a mile.

MaMelon · 15/06/2021 18:00

You can pay £30 for a tub of Curl Cream on eBay Grin

SappysCurry · 15/06/2021 18:03

@AuntieStella

Just about the entire Aldi skincare range

Wilko dry shampoo - it's the only one that works as well as Batiste

Especially the moisture boost ❤️ And the night power cram only have not seen that in special buys for too long now
TheOrigRights · 15/06/2021 18:07

Just about every single own-brand medication vs the fancy one.

It's not going to make you better more quickly because you paid more for the same thing and cos you saw it on telly!

TheSockMonster · 15/06/2021 18:09

@MaMelon does the Garnier gradual self tan mark bedding or have a biscuity smell? I haven’t tried self tanning lotion for years and am hoping technology has moved on a bit as my legs are also in desperate need of some colour.

AlCalavicci · 15/06/2021 18:10

Lakelands own oven cleaner is great , and has no chemically smell .

Tescos own tinned plum tomatoes come with a much thicker sauce / tom juice than any others I have tried.

Feedingthebirds1 · 15/06/2021 18:11

@TheRealHousewife

Anyone know of any reasonably priced gluten free pasta … always so expensive!
Agree with a PP - Morrison's own brand is very good and very reasonable. I need gf, DP doesn't, but this is cheap enough to use to do one dish for both of us, instead of having to do two versions.
GreenTeaBlackCoffeeAndRedWine · 15/06/2021 18:11

Aldi's own brand baileys. So cheap and so nice

Chicchicchicchiclana · 15/06/2021 18:12

Nivea soft moisturiser. Wonderful stuff and I can use it on my extremely sensitive skin which flares up with almost anything.

1FootInTheRave · 15/06/2021 18:13

Garnier gradual tan.

Olay spf 15 day moisturiser...the fiver bottle.

Any hair mousse is as good as the expensive stuff. Likewise serums/oils/sprays etc. Disclaimer: very disappointed in the Olaplex stuff I splashed out on.

Avon bubble baths.

Radox shower gels are easily as nice as more expensive ones imo.

SafferUpNorth · 15/06/2021 18:14

Just about everything in the Lidl Deluxe range. Everything from burgers, ready meals, pizza, juices, yogurts, olives, cheeses etc etc. Beats Waitrose hands-down and a fraction of the price.

Their Cien skincare range is excellent too.

Catswithflamingos · 15/06/2021 18:17

Astonish’s version of Vanish. 99p a tub wow.

Astonish mould and mildew cleaner. Also a £1 product

Catswithflamingos · 15/06/2021 18:18

Garnier’s Banana Hair Food. Better than Elasticiser.

partyatthepalace · 15/06/2021 18:19

Lancashire farm yogurt at Sainsburys

Same price as own brand, really tangy and free range milk. Tastes way more expensive and doesn’t seem to be promoted at all.

muddyford · 15/06/2021 18:27

Lidl almond and raisin granola.
Most of Lidl's Deluxe range.

lachy · 15/06/2021 18:27

The majority of the Astonish cleaning range or Stardrops cleaning range. I think the only reason I haven't repurchased some items is because I've not been overly keen on the smell.

MaMelon · 15/06/2021 18:30

does the Garnier gradual self tan mark bedding or have a biscuity smell?

No to both Smile It smells a bit fruity, definitely not that biscuity smell. I dry exfoliate with a pair of these cheapo exfoliating gloves from Wilkos, put it on before bed, let it sink in for a bit, and wake up to a nice glow in the morning. I have white sheets and there’s no marks.

IggyAce · 15/06/2021 18:31

Astonish bathroom cleaner a bargain at 99p.
Agree elbow grease is the bees knees.

Platinum thick bleach is brilliant 89p in B&M they sell it in Savers for 99p

SappysCurry · 15/06/2021 18:35

I love that astonish bathroom cleaner and the laundry spray but I can’t find it anywhere anymore Where do you get yours from from please? I have a hime bargains and a B & M near me but I have not been able to find in either, or supermarkets.

And the Lidl chef select goats cheese frittata - actually taste of goats cheese it must be packed with it
Chicchicchicchiclana · 15/06/2021 18:43

Dove soap instead of shower gel. No plastic bottles!

The one with shea butter is particularly nice, also the pink one.

lynsey91 · 15/06/2021 18:45

Definitely Nicky toilet rolls. Just as good as Andrex but so much cheaper

ArnoldJudasRimmer · 15/06/2021 18:46

Aldi Mamia baby wipes, prefer them to Water Wipes and so much cheaper. They do have their own version of water wipes which are brilliant too!

Zzelda · 15/06/2021 18:46

Aldi loo paper. I definitely prefer it to Andrex.

Twinkie01 · 15/06/2021 18:51

M&S tomato ketchup is much cheaper than Heinz and tastes better as does their salad cream. They also do amazing tins of cherry tomatoes which I've not found cheaper elsewhere.
