Talking of which, Ms Molly chocolate coated digestive bars are really good imo. 18 for £1.20.

GameSetMatch · 16/06/2021 19:18

@hellogem try Sainsbury’s own cola zero 39p tastes just like real Coca Cola Zero. Not tried their full sugar version but if it’s like the zero product you won’t be able to tell the difference!

SappysCurry · 16/06/2021 19:21

@SticksAndStoned

Aaah okay sorry
I thought that’s why you understandably didn’t rate it!

Multi Surface Cleaner with bleach 750ml 65p
Thick Bleach Citrus Fresh 750ml 39p
Multi purpose Cotton Fresh 1 litre 85p
Toilet cleaner Citrus 750ml 41p
Furniture Polish with Beeswax 250ml 55p
Multi Surface Polish 250ml 65p
Window and Glass Cleaner 750ml 65p

Fudge is always gluten free-milk, sugar, butter, flavours eg chocolate or vanilla. No flour.

Tbf some of it in some shops has barley products in and 'may contain ...' etc (ie potential cross contamination).

You can buy guaranteed gluten free fudge (necessary for people with coeliac disease) but it's very experience.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant range, especially radiance balm and hot cloth cleanser
Superdrug Vitamin E micellar water - brilliant for shifting mascara
Aldi hot cloth cleanser is also fab
Primark false lash mascara
Wilko dry shampoo
Pink stuff cleaner is the dogs bollocks
Dettol mould & mildew remover - not the very cheapest but worth a lot more than its price, nothing else touches it
Aldi Jo Malone dupe scented candles

tsmainsqueeze · 16/06/2021 21:31

@hellogem

Is there a cheaper alternative to coke but tastes exactly like coke still??
lidls own full sugar coke is the nearest to coke i have found ,has to be very chilled and freshly opened . Coke is my favourite drink and i am very fussy about copies, i can tolerate the lidl one but i don't think anyone makes an exact copy .
3LittleDucksQuack · 16/06/2021 21:36

Aldi breaded ham. Like for lunch sandwiches. About 15 slices for 1.40

Aldi biscuits dh prefers most to branded.

Aldi non bio tabs wash better than ariel. 1.79 for 20 wash

Twofurrycats · 16/06/2021 22:30

Maybelline concealer the one with a sponge tip. Just as good as bobbi brown and touché eclat on me.
Astonish, pink stuff and stardrops cleaning stuff.
Lidl perfume. Might not last as long but at the price you can reapply.

The laundry products are good too I think this thread is evolving into I ❤️Aldi 😄

Their ‘ 6 in 1 mouthwash’ has approval from my dental nurse at 99p
We are fortunate to have these shopping choices

LemonSherbetFancies · 16/06/2021 22:36

Definitely Branston baked beans

ThatOtherPoster · 16/06/2021 22:49

Asda and Tesco clotted cream fudges. £2 a small box, they just happen to have no gluten in them. Absolutely delicious - you'd pay well over a fiver for the same thing marketed as a poncey gluten-free artisanal luxury fudge.

How can any fudge have gluten in it? Fudge is just butter, sugar and cream/milk…

LeSquigh · 17/06/2021 09:01

I recently discovered Sainsbury’s ring doughnuts from the bakery - 95p for 5 and they are light and delicious. I have since eaten a whole bag on a number of occasions so quite completely a good thing 🤣.

Tomnooktoldmeto · 17/06/2021 09:32

To the lady asking about gluten free pasta, asda has improved the taste of their own brand pasta and if you buy 3 items at a time from fusilli lasagna spaghetti penne it’s actually only 40p a packet

Morrison’s do a basic gf cheese and tomato frozen pizza that’s perfect for teens and only 80p

Fulton’s have an online shop if you can’t get to a shop called star bargains and they often have schar products at brilliant prices and ship for free over £40

Thank you! That sounds perfect for me too ...

Gobolino80 · 17/06/2021 10:32

I have a hardly used tub of the Boots Curl Creme that I'll happily send to anyone who wants it, my hair doesn't suit the curly style now I've had it cut shorter but it was really good stuff when it was longer!

Have you tried Morrisons doughnuts? Someone on mumsnet recommended them and imo they are the best cheap doughnuts I've ever tried.
Tomnooktoldmeto · 17/06/2021 11:12

I’ve just remembered another great product for the coeliac community on here

Kitkat Santa’s and Easter bunny’s are gluten free, my joy at my DC’s faces when I gave them some recently were wonderful to see

It’s been a very long time since I had Kitkats but now there’s a box hidden in my kitchen

PinkG0ld · 17/06/2021 11:40

@wheeltrims

I have never seen dry shampoo in Aldi but the Lidl one is excellent. Really lightweight and doesn't clog up your hair. Never shell out for Batiste now when I can stock up on theirs.

Also the Lidl fancy pesto houmous is better than the premium supermarket ones by a mile.

Is there a brunette version? I struggle to find brunette dry shampoos.
LemonSherbetFancies · 17/06/2021 11:42

Stockwells (Tesco) tomato ketchup and honey also lovely.

PinkG0ld · 17/06/2021 11:50

@alltoomuchrightnow

Aldi's black pepper crackers. They are literally crack to me ;) But not their skincare. Tried loads as always taken in by hype around them..always binned them. Burnt my skin to pieces

Revolution London eye palettes..much prefer to more premium such as Huda or Too Faced in terms of staying power
Vaseline in the little tin . I always have about a million on the go. No other lip product really work for me. Ok Eight Hour Cream is great for lips, but it's not cheap. The Aldi version of it is awful..
Not a brand..but.. just discovered borage oil. Perfect for my skin type (at night ) and ridiculously cheap
Weleda's Skin Food & Lush's Dream Cream. Both cleared up the stubborn eczema under my eyes which was terribly ageing now I've turned 50. Nothing had worked.. I'd tried everything in the last yr or so...
Lush Big shampoo.. best thing for my oily limp hair. Ok not cheap but it's reasonable to me for results. Put it on dry hair first, rinse out, then add more. It means I can go two days now between washes. But only if I use on dry hair for the first application

How funny! I love the Aldi hot cloth cleansers (they have different types). I have sensitive dry/normal skin and they’re on par with Liz Earle. Vaseline dries my lips out and the 8 hour cream isn’t pleasant to use. Not tried borage oil or the other items you mention.
perenniallymessy · 17/06/2021 11:52

Another vote for Astonish products (our local cheapy card/homewares shop stocks the full range, lots of local hardware stores sell it too), soda crystals, Elbow Grease and Pink Stuff (the spray is great as well- lovely smell and eliminates any smell from bathroom wee dribbles!).

Lidl chocolate- all amazing.

swaythosemelons · 17/06/2021 13:42

Another vote for Nivea soft, in the white tub. Use it as my moisturiser, got rid of any spots I had beforehand

Elbow Grease spray, love it love it love it

Zoflora Lavender - Smells amazingly clean

Lidl nap sacks, been out of stock for ages. They're huge. Love them, even use them behind the door as a little bathroom bin

Lime cordial from Asda - About 60p a bottle. Very refreshing

Lidl chocolate brownies in their bakery section, and their goats cheese and pesto pastries! So good

Sainsbury's or Tesco's own bleach. Can't describe it but the smell is the best

Dettol bathroom spray - I crave it and want to eat it when pregnant

Benjispruce3 · 17/06/2021 17:15

Zoflora linen(?) smells gorgeous.
