They are keeping Andrew out the way, arent they?

On the bbc news, 3 out 4 of the queen's children wished to say something in tribute to their father...

Andrew is obviously been kept on the back burner. They must know there's only so much the less fawning of us can take.

Apparently not only is it near new, he's also had it resprayed.

No public duties but the perks keep on rolling in. He really is beyond contempt

Puzzledandpissedoff · 19/04/2021 20:09

Just a thought, but are we sure the Bentley didn't belong to his dad or something?

I know it's sickening, but he wouldn't be the first offspring to inherit a lovely car when a parent died

CathyorClaire · 19/04/2021 20:23

It has a personalised number plate, Puzzled so I think it's highly likely it's his. The news reports all seem to suggest so.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 19/04/2021 20:43

Ah, I see what you mean, CathyorClaire - I hadn't realised the bit about the number plate

Andrew must be apprehensive. I don't think this is ever going to go away for him. The pressure will mount as the justice system moves towards trial.

www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-04-16/maxwell-must-stand-trial-as-judge-denies-request-to-dismiss-case?utm_campaign=socialflow-organic&utm_content=business&utm_source=twitter&cmpid=socialflow-twitter-business&utm_medium=social

Ghislaine Maxwell has done her utmost to have her case thrown out. She advanced numerous grounds for a dismissal, including a claim that federal prosecutors in Manhattan were barred from charging her as part of a deal that U.S. prosecutors in Florida reached with Epstein in 2007.
Thrown out and the trial goes ahead in July.

KarensChoppyBob · 24/04/2021 08:51

Of course he's apprehensive. He hoped things would quieten down in his favour due to recent events. Thankfully people in general aren't that stupid.

CathyorClaire · 25/04/2021 20:30

Looks like he's not off the hook over the ski chalet after all:

Roussette · 25/04/2021 21:04

Now why aren't I surprised...

I thought the Queen paid off the debt... obviously not!

OliveToboogie · 25/04/2021 21:41

Rude, obnoxious, spoilt individual. The way he treats his staff is terrible. HRH has created a monster spoiling her oaf of a son.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 25/04/2021 23:08

It's the dreaded Mail so probably unreliable, but I did like the bit about the chalet still being for sale at £17.3 million

Perhaps he can get another Kazakh oligarch to buy it for even more ...?

Roussette · 26/04/2021 07:27

It's in lots of other press too. He has a new Bentley costing £220,000, didn't like the colour so had it repsprayed 'racing green' which would've added another ££££££. For a non working Royal [shock Hmm

The other publications then talk of him doing this in light of his £7million debt.

She (previous owner) said she hoped her legal action to regain millions would be resolved “immediately”, adding that “the case is in court.”

CathyorClaire · 26/04/2021 20:24

He really did chose entirely the wrong time to try and sell a multi-million pound ski shack what with ski resorts taking the same sort of pandemic pounding as other tourist honeypots.

Interesting that he seems to be happy to hang someone who considered herself a friend out to dry when he was too honourable to do it to a convicted sex offender and interesting too that the rest of the family are letting him when an awful lot of them could cough the amount without blinking and let him settle up later.

GrimDamnFanjo · 27/04/2021 00:16

I've started to notice a small drip of positive stories planted in the media. The other week it was PA buying puppies for HM.
I really think it would best for him not to return to public life.

Roussette · 27/04/2021 08:16

The RF will do anything to bring him back I think. Not sure that Charles feels the same, and the public won't be won over. He is a complete liability and it will all change, I think, when the Queen goes.

He's at it again. So murky.

www.thetimes.co.uk/article/prince-andrew-set-up-firm-with-disgraced-coutts-financier-harry-keogh-xm6l0z20t

'The Duke of York has gone into business with a former Coutts banker who quit in disgrace over allegations of sexual harassment.

Prince Andrew has set up a company with Harry Keogh, who left the Queen’s bank in March 2018 after he was accused of touching a female colleague inappropriately and boasting about his sexual exploits'
The company, which was formed last June, will be a vehicle for Andrew's family investments and will have an unlimited status, which affords it a degree of privacy, The Times reported.

It is named Lincelles, after an 18th-century battle in which the Duke of York commanded the English against the French.

The business will not have to file accounts with Companies House and can avoid disclosing its profits or income.

hopeishere · 27/04/2021 08:19

@Puzzledandpissedoff

There must be many ppl very relieved at the focus on PA

I'm quite certain there are - his older brother among them

What do you mean? Was PC involved?
Roussette · 27/04/2021 08:32

And let's just be clear here... this man is a friend, not only a business associate.
He went to Eugenie's wedding.

What a poor taste in friends he has... I wonder how many more skeletons there are in the cupboard?

GrimDamnFanjo · 27/04/2021 08:40
You'd think someone somewhere would tell him that wasn't a good idea..
CathyorClaire · 27/04/2021 08:41

Beat me to it, Rousette Grin

More murk on his finances, more unsavoury friends.

He really is a piece of work.

viques · 27/04/2021 08:46

Wow, talk about a good day to bury bad news. I suppose he thinks no one will say anything on account of respecting the fact he has just buried his father. Some people never learn. The only positive is that every wrong move he makes means Charles is even less likely to welcome him back into the fold when he succeeds to the throne.

I thought his next move was going to be to give poor Sarah, his bidie in , a way back into the bosom of the RF as a respectable married woman now her nemesis is no longer around to say no. Still time for that one though.

Roussette · 27/04/2021 08:55

Agree CathyorClaire.

I do find the opaqueness on the finances awful. Is Andrew completely stupid? It is a private investment company that does not have to file accounts with Companies House.

This man Keogh resigned in 2018 because of sexual harrassment claims. Yet Andrew thinks that to set up a company with this friend of his is a sensible thing to do. He must still think he is untouchable. Poor Andrew, such ghastly luck when friends and associates turn out to be perverts...

Roussette · 27/04/2021 08:56

viques
I wonder if that will happen. Is there any reason why they actually need to get married again. Interesting one...

Bubblebu · 27/04/2021 09:05

GrimDamnFanjo

no one "tells Andrew" anything which is pretty damn obvious from the whole way he has run his life.

even now he swans around in £XXXX re sprayed jaguars and does dodgy deals with other peodophiles.

i mean lets face it - what exactly has the public ever got out of Prince Andrew and/or any of his own family/ex wife/daughters?

nothing.

Roussette · 27/04/2021 09:10

Agree, nothing.

His role as Trade Envoy was just a vehicle to enrich himself and go to all the world's best golf courses.
Well... he won't be going to any in the US any time soon....
