They are keeping Andrew out the way, arent they?

On the bbc news, 3 out 4 of the queen's children wished to say something in tribute to their father...

Andrew is obviously been kept on the back burner. They must know there's only so much the less fawning of us can take.

OP posts:

If you think about it, it is incredible that someone like Ghislane Maxwell was so involved with him but they usually have a 'girlfriend' whom they manipulate into serving them

Yes. On the podcast I spoke about upthread, it went into detail about her childhood, her father, her upbringing and that obviously had a huge bearing on why she found Epstein so attractive.

KarensChoppyBob · 15/04/2021 10:56

I've added that to my podcast list thanks Roussette.

SueSaid · 15/04/2021 10:59

'As far as the funeral of his father is concerned he's reported as having demanded to wear full admiral's uniform'

If we don't believe the media's gossip about the Sussexes why do we believe this story?

Taketheredpill · 15/04/2021 11:03

@JaniieJones

How would you propose the difference between being complicit and being associated is reliably measured ?

A face to face interview with the FBI would surely help wouldn’t it ?

ohforarainyday · 15/04/2021 11:05

Yes they should perhaps put half of Hollywood on trial as they surely all knew too as they socialised with Weinstein.

One of my closest friends wrote a Weinstein movie and worked closely (and was non-sexually abused by him) for two years, and never heard a hint about these rumours.

Yes people at the top had heard rumours, but it wasn't as widespread as people make out.

Besides don't the Andrew-defenders keep screaming about "innocent until proven guilty"? Weinstein hadn't been convicted of anything.

Epstein on the other hand HAD been convicted and Andrew continued to be friends with him and to stay in his house, after his prison sentence for having sex with a child.

Well, as I've said throughout if they have grounds to investigate they should liaise with UK detectives and question him. Even the RF don't get to decline legal processes. People seem to think he should fly to the US.

Taketheredpill · 15/04/2021 11:13

@janiiejones The US attorney general was said to be considering just what you suggest :

“Contrary to Prince Andrew's very public offer to cooperate with our investigation into Epstein's co-conspirators, an offer that was conveyed via press release, Prince Andrew has now completely shut the door on voluntary cooperation," U.S. Attorney Berman said, adding that his office is "considering its options."

VladmirsPoutine · 15/04/2021 11:14

This is one of those examples of if you'll believe that you'll believe anything.

Taketheredpill · 15/04/2021 11:15

Sorry , not the attorney general , a New York State attorney

I wonder why Prince Andrew is being singled out for this? There are countless others who had a similar 'friendship' with Epstein.

The US attorney general should, of all people, be confidential.

SueSaid · 15/04/2021 11:17

Not an Andrew defender. A judicial process defender.

'U.S. Attorney Berman said, adding that his office is "considering its options."

They're very slow arent they. Anyone would think they're waiting to see what Maxwell will spill instead of getting their arses in gear and actually investigate..

Plumtree my mistake see above . New York State attorney, not attorney general .

Taketheredpill · 15/04/2021 11:26

Plumtree I suspect that one reason he is being singled out is because of the interview he gave to the BBC

Plumtree391 · 15/04/2021 11:57

He was singled out before that, it was the reason he gave the interview.
Taketheredpill · 15/04/2021 12:00

Really?

I don’t pay any attention to the royals but that interview definitely raised more questions than it answered . For me anyway

Roussette · 15/04/2021 12:13

There was interest in him beforehand and the interview was his attempt at putting a lid on it. A PR exercise that went spectacularly wrong

ohforarainyday · 15/04/2021 13:38

I wonder why Prince Andrew is being singled out for this? There are countless others who had a similar 'friendship' with Epstein.

How many of them are high profile public servants, who live off the taxpayer?

How many of them stayed in Epstein's house after his jail sentence for having sex with a child?

CathyorClaire · 15/04/2021 14:27

Maybe because the others haven't been on national television promising to do everything in their power to help with enquiries and then trying to impose their own terms on doing it.

That said I don't doubt there's some heavy private sweating going on though especially as the Maxwell trial looms.

ImpatiensI · 15/04/2021 14:38

@Cacacoisfarraige

I heard an interview by a college professor in one of the prestigious colleges. A colleague set up a meeting with Epstein, who was peddling influence. He had no idea of Epstein’s other life and returned his investment but feared he was tainted by the association.
There must be many more like this, Epstein pride himself on donations to Politics/Education/Science and I bet not many returned those donations if they were able. There must be many ppl very relieved at the focus on PA.
Puzzledandpissedoff · 15/04/2021 15:11

I'm quite certain there are - his older brother among them

@Cacacoisfarraige

I’m sure the palace feel he is being singled out as a non American high profile scalp
Much as he deserves the heat from his greed and stupidity I think they're right.

Epstein influence goes right to the heart of American establishment, a lot of high profile ppl being kept out of the spotlight.

LadyEloise · 19/04/2021 15:12

I just saw he has taken possession of a £220,000 Bentley.
He certainly can't read the mood of the nation.
🙄

SelkieIntegrated · 19/04/2021 15:37

He is shameless
