They are keeping Andrew out the way, arent they?

On the bbc news, 3 out 4 of the queen's children wished to say something in tribute to their father...

Andrew is obviously been kept on the back burner. They must know there's only so much the less fawning of us can take.

I said "in an official capacity."
A reporter nabbing him as he comes out of church is a family matter.

forfucksakenett · 12/04/2021 12:07

There's no chance on this earth that that was 'nabbed.'

If he opens his mouth to the media in any capacity then he's representing the Royal Family.

Alsohuman · 12/04/2021 12:09

Exactly. Some people won’t be happy unless he’s locked in a cupboard.
CallmeHendricks · 12/04/2021 12:13

He acknowledged someone giving condolences on the death of his father. I don't think that is such a terrible thing to do.

Haberdasheryhen · 12/04/2021 12:15

I was just coming on here to post but Rousette , forfucksakenett and CathyorClaire have covered it. Totally in agreement with what they have said. One hopes that BP officials will strongly advise PA to keep firmly in the background from now on.

@KarensChoppyBob

Tbh I fear for Ghislaine Mavwell's life before she gets the chance to throw anyone under the bus.
This. She’ll have committed suicide before trial
BeenAsFarAsMercyAndGrand · 12/04/2021 12:19

the media have enlarged this and the hoi polloi have latched on to it

Careful now, your prejudice and snobbery are showing.

KarensChoppyBob · 12/04/2021 12:25

Pupster I'm hoping that even those concerned could not attempt to insult so many people's intelligence at one time and do it a second time.

But you only have to read this thread to see that the public in general would just roll over and accept it.

Roussette · 12/04/2021 12:26

A reporter nabbing him as he comes out of church is a family matter

Hardly
He addressed the nation.

As I said before, he could've just said 'Thank you for your kind thoughts' and left it at that.
He didn't.
He spoke to the people

Alsohuman · 12/04/2021 12:29

Yes he spoke to the people and came out with some harmless platitudes. Some of you people are obsessed, anyone would think he’d machine gunned a dozen people the way you’re carrying on.

Roussette · 12/04/2021 12:31

I also don't believe he has done anything terrible apart from having dubious 'friendships' some time ago (we can all do that), the media have enlarged this and the hoi polloi have latched on to it

I hope you are joking.

He is photographed with a girl was who procured, groomed and exploited and she says under oath she had sex with him more than once.

A little bit more than a 'dubious' friendship. Epstein was a convicted paedophile but that didn't stop Andrew continuing the friendship until he got found out.

And Ghislaine. Photos out there of her and Epstein running around sat on a throne in Buckingham Palace. She was been in NY prison for nearly a year and will face 35 years in prison if convicted of procuring underage girls for a paedophile.
I doubt she is there just because she's a bit 'dubious'

VladmirsPoutine · 12/04/2021 12:35

His interview with Emily Maitlis was a joke. Anyone remember that he doesn't sweat? If he were anyone else he'd be currently shackled in an orange jumpsuit.

Alsohuman · 12/04/2021 12:37

If he were anyone else he'd be currently shackled in an orange jumpsuit

You mean like Anne Sarcoolas, who actually killed someone and is being protected from justice by the US government?

Exactly. The US weren't interested in sending her back to us. She killed a child, why isn't she back here to face justice?

She should be arrested.

He should be arrested.

Rich white people getting away with all sorts as per usual.

Roussette · 12/04/2021 12:41

Yes the interview was a joke.
But mainly because his total arrogance led him to believe he could waffle, pontificate and move on and we, being the stupid general public, and the FBI would brush it all under the carpet because he is .... regal ... or something.

Anne Sacoolas, totally agree. But how does that make PA's actions OK?

Alsohuman · 12/04/2021 12:59

Anne Sacoolas, totally agree. But how does that make PA's actions OK?

It doesn’t but strangely it’s provoking almost no outrage. 🤷‍♀️

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 12/04/2021 13:04

It doesn't make his alleged actions ok, but why on earth should we hand him over to the FBI when the US are protecting a killer? Biden is no better than Trump by the looks of it.

Roussette · 12/04/2021 13:06

I have posted about it before elsewhere. Totally outraged. I've followed the story closely and read up a lot about it. The wonderful Mum Charlotte is not going anywhere soon, she wants justice for her son.

But as this is a thread title about Andrew I won't go on about what I've read and puzzled about.

Happy to contribute to a thread @Alsohuman if you start one.

Roussette · 12/04/2021 13:07

No one is handing him over anywhere. He is part of the RF and has the best PR machine and legal advice, probably in the world. He is protected, by none other than the Queen.

Because it's not a tit for tat situation.

No shit, I'd never have guessed! My point is, even if he wasn't a member of the Royal Family why would we hand him over when the US are happy to protect actual killers?

People are outraged. But AS wasn't on the telly the other day addressing the nation. That's likely to be generate heated debate.
Roussette · 12/04/2021 13:10

Because it doesn't work like that?
