They are keeping Andrew out the way, arent they?

On the bbc news, 3 out 4 of the queen's children wished to say something in tribute to their father...

Andrew is obviously been kept on the back burner. They must know there's only so much the less fawning of us can take.

I thought he spoke quite well actually, it was heartfelt

@jesstan2
Not saying it wasnt heartfelt, I don't deny that. Although I personally do not go along with the nation's grandfather sentiment. For all those people who will have lost their GPs this last year, that would may not be the case. I don't like the way he speaks but accept he spoke from the heart.

BeenAsFarAsMercyAndGrand · 12/04/2021 07:46

It may well have been heartfelt. But he shouldn't be given any kind of public platform by the BBC.

Why can he not speak about the death of his father for a couple of minutes if the VBC asked him? It’s hardly a ‘platform’. Confused

*BBC

@Tossblanket

Well yes, he's a nonce.
Do you have a good lawyer ?

@Tossblanket

Well yes, he's a nonce.
Is there actual proof of this? I haven't seen any concrete proof.
Temp023 · 12/04/2021 08:06

His Dad just died, give the guy a break!

Butchyrestingface · 12/04/2021 08:12

His Dad just died, give the guy a break!
Hmm
Roussette · 12/04/2021 08:13

Perhaps we could say that about Harry too? That would be nice

Well, no, because Harry's dad didn't just die.
BeenAsFarAsMercyAndGrand · 12/04/2021 08:30

His grandad died. And Harry hasn't been associating with sex traffickers, and hasn't been accused of raping trafficked women.

Roussette · 12/04/2021 08:30

Gosh, didn't know that!

I'm talking about the principle

BeenAsFarAsMercyAndGrand · 12/04/2021 08:38

Of course it's a platform! The BBC doesn't interview just anyone who's lost a parent.

For celebrities and the RF this sort of emotional event is PR, and the BBC knows this full well. The same goes for their weddings. That's doesn't mean that they aren't feeling real emotion too, but anything that we see being displayed to the public is the PR side of it.

SelkieIntegrated · 12/04/2021 08:41

we get he's lost his father but what I felt when I saw his face even for two minutes was fury. He's hidden behind his mother when the fbi want to talk to him. He's a predator and a coward. And he thinks he can just lie low til it all blows over and strategically gaslight us in to half remembering it with his staggered appearances to test the water. The water is soiled now. Yuck.

worriedatthemoment · 12/04/2021 08:43

How do you all know what andrew has or hasn't bern asked ?
What you read it in a paper ? So therefore that must be true.
If he was formally asked then he wouldn't have a choice would he and the fbi could come here or use the met etc , but then they are guilty of allowing their citIzens to not come here for trial too., once doesn't mean the other is ok of course .
Like it or not we live in a country that is innocent until proven guilty and you could say if too much is said / printed in newspapers it could ruin: prejudice any trial anyway , I can't believe the stories have been in newspapers so much as hard to get jury's that haven't read a lot in papers already etc
But on here people make all sort of accusations and I think even if he was trialed and found not guilty , that wouldn't be enough they have decided themselves

SelkieIntegrated · 12/04/2021 08:47

It's not speculation that he hasn't co-operated with the fBI.

He's ''offered'' to send typed up answers to their typed up questions. That is not the same as an interview. A skilled interviewer would get the truth out of him and he wants to avoid that.

worriedatthemoment · 12/04/2021 09:11

@SelkieIntegrated and what actual proof do you have of that as in concrete that would stand up in court , not what has been read in a newspaper ?

👏

Yes but Harry's alleged crimes are apparently worse Hmm.

forfucksakenett · 12/04/2021 09:17

It's really very simple.

The FBI want to interview him. He has refused.

That's just not appropriate in any way shape or form.

Well yes we've already seen evidence of that thanks to the fantastic Emily Maitlis.
forfucksakenett · 12/04/2021 09:18

And of course the interview was PR. It also seems to have worked on some people which is a bit Hmm

Or he wants to avoid being trapped into saying something that the FBI will twist? I'm sure their 'skilled interviewers' are very skilled at that! He's offered written statements and they should take that and then ask for further clarification of any points. If they FBI really wanted the information they would accept but no - they want a big publicity fat 'catch' and don't care how they go about it

I think it possible to say he's grieving for his father but also thought it might be a chance to show his face without a barrage of questions and abuse.
