Disclaimer: I'm currently catching up and halfway through Series 4, and aware that he may have become shadier in recent times (but don't know the details so no spoilers please!)

I think the fact he's Irish and has a huge line in sarky comebacks definitely helps.

Now, onto the underground stuff

love this phrase Bella! Grin

Ted’s got 30 years on me and I absolutely would. I agree that Jo/Kelly has a beautiful accent but the weird enunciation is distracting.

SoftDay · 07/04/2021 23:59

@IncorrigibleTitmouse

Agree with Steve looking like a magician in his waistcoats. Although he was an abject scoundrel, I did think Dot was rather dishy.
Dot was a ride! I wanted to reach into the screen and lick the little freckle on his neck.
Myphone · 08/04/2021 00:06

This thread is cracking me up.

**I just want to know what shampoo he uses.

SunscreenCentral · 08/04/2021 00:34

Can’t, cannot, can not see the Dot thing. He gave me the wrong shivers with his tiny wrists and his accent and thin hair just no...

Ted is kinda sexy but a little too familiar, (Irish) I still adore him 😍

Steve.... remain standing WinkGrin

BeaLola · 08/04/2021 01:05

There is just something about him , in fact lots of somethings , he is heavenly - I was very pleased that Gill Bigelow left and his wife has moved on in LOD - they were not good enough for him

I liked him a lot prior to LOD - exceedingly good actor

He is attractive in an unsmug, understated sexy sort of way - it's like I want to look after him but at the same time have wild sex with him but also walk along a beach holding hands with him - he is a Ted for all things Smile

Thebirdstbeseathebirds · 08/04/2021 07:03

Have met Ted and he is very charismatic and an absolute gem of a guy, so no, YANBU! Though it’s Kate I fancy tha pants off... and as for Steve, the most unrealistic thing about this show is the women he manages to get! Wait til you get to the render series and see his beard, Mother of God!

MintyCedric · 08/04/2021 07:15

I'm on Series 5 now and loving Steve's beard!

As for Dot...bleaurgh all the no!

Lying in bed stifling my laughter at Gill and ‘OOOOOOOO TED’ 😂😂😂😂😂

Iamtooknackeredtorun · 08/04/2021 07:24

I love Ted and he's been my favourite since series one. However a lot of that is because I have always fancied Adrian Dunbar (rather than the character as such). He was in Cracker years ago and I think it all started there for me

Also love Stephen Graham. His desert island discs is one of the loveliest. So moving and honest and the love for his wife is beautifully endearing.

I also fancied Lenny James as Tony Gates and have a soft spot for Dot and Danny Waldron.

MintyCedric · 08/04/2021 07:34

Danny Waldron gave me the willies, but the actor who plays his is great.

I have been regularly gobsmacked by the casting in LoD.

PurplePansy05 · 08/04/2021 07:35

I LOVE Ted 😍

Undersoldxzxz · 08/04/2021 07:37

That’s the ‘How to Fail’ podcast with Elizabeth Day if it’s not clear from the screenshot - Adrian Dunbar talking about his life

Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel · 08/04/2021 07:39

I too think he's wonderful. Kate is also my crush, Steve is "cute" but not sexy. I bloody love them all.

@HoldontoOneMoreDay I was catching up before the new series and DP said ‘in the nicest possible way, that’s how I see you mid fifties babe’ 😂 She is like a polished version of Jill from Alan Partridge, who is also brilliant

Haha! Grin spot on.

Now then Gill, how about we go and see those wee owls in the sanctuary?

sadonfriday · 08/04/2021 11:20

Wee Gill, that’s a lovely blouse you have on, to be sure

DioneTheDiabolist · 08/04/2021 11:36

Mother of God @AgentCooper
He's smouldering so he is.

Igotmylipstickon · 08/04/2021 11:43

Fellas, here's Ted being interviewed on the wee telly:

AgentCooper · 08/04/2021 11:44

POSSIBLE SEASON 5 SPOILER FOR OP

Does anyone think there’s mileage in the idea that Corbett could have been Ted’s son? DH says no way, Corbett was already about nine when Anne Marie and Ted met, but we don’t know that for sure. They could go way back. The way he was crying when he said ‘So Corbett was Anne Marie’s wee fella?’ Sad

What , not even at the last episode Series 3 where he runs ?
Even if they did it in one take , that bloke is F-I-T !
As you were now Wink.
