Getting too thin?

Hello Mumsnetters,

12 months ago I started losing weight through IF (16:8) and reducing portion sizes of meals. I also started walking more, which in turn lead me into starting jogging. I'm 5ft7 and I started at 13st9 and I'm now 10st 2. DP has expressed his concern that I am starting to look too thin.

I have explained that I still fast (for the health benefits) but do eat considerably more than I did when trying to lose weight. To be honest I do not wish to lose anymore weight as I am a healthy weight for my height.

Has anyone actually got too thin and then had a comment made by a DP/DH or even a close friend/family member/?

A double chin can happen as you get older, whatever your weight. I've got one now and I'm not fat.

My double chin was worse when i was thinner! It was just so much more obvious! I still have it now but with a bit more weight on all over i look a lot more in proportion.

Early 20's when i was 8 & a half stone i looked haggard.

Early 30's now and pre pregnancy was 10 & a half stone. Nearly full term & nearly 12 stone.

Im 5 ft 7.

See what i weigh after baby comes but wont stress over it!

We all messed up once or twice🙈
My worse was when I didn't put enough stuff in and it was just very bland.

I have 6 liter slowcooker so batch cook (20+ hours), reduce and freeze. I use any bones which come my way incl steak bones😂 Most veg too like veg peels and ends which I keep in a bag in a freezer. The broth is never the same.
Try to find some recipe you are comfortable with and build on it.

Yes I dieted and got too thin. It turned into anorexia. Went from a BMI of 33 to 12.4

When you loose weight there has to be a stop point - a healthy point where you look good, feel good, and enjoy life. That is going to be different for everyone, most people look best somewhere around the “healthy” BMI range. but if your BMI has gone below 18.5 you’re too thin
