If I'd thought a year ago I'd be thrilled to be having a vaccination I'd have thought I was mad!
I get quite anxious leaving the house now, it's not a good sign I don't think.

I love straightening my hair and putting a nice outfit on to do my foodshop 😂 when I order clothes now I go for colours that will pop under the harsh supermarket lights

DH drove me to aldi a few weeks ago and fuck me it was amazing. He stayed in car with DCs, I was able to get a trolleys worth(I don't drive so can't) and I could blare tunes on my headphones as I ran around. I get it.

I am so bored I’ve decided to mark Chinese New Year by cooking a banquet. I am not Chinese. There are only three of us to eat it.

One of my staff had to take a day off earlier this week, so I covered her job... the excitement of driving for four whole miles along a motorway was almost too much!

I get excited putting the bins out or my Tesco’s shop arriving, I don’t go to shops at all anymore, I’m exempt from face mask but just avoid going anywhere now to avoid abuse

The only outing of the week for me, gotta love grocery day lol

Oh, and I went to give blood on Monday. That counted as an exciting outing.

My one big outing of last year was a visit to the opticians.

I was pumped about going to the dentists with the kids last week. How times have changed!

Ooo and @RuggerHug since I was driving past an Aldi after doing the job I WENT IN!!!! Thank heaven I keep a stash of carrier bags in the back of the Doggy Funbus, and keep the shopping list updated on my phone. I can't usually justify driving fifteen miles just to go to Aldi or Lidl, but this was an animal welfare situation, once I'd dealt with it I didn't have any other appointments for the next two hours so I did the weekly shop two days early.

Damn, I wish we'd thought of that. Never mind, DH has perfected homemade fish cakes (Maryland crab cake style, not potatoey) and he's doing teriyaki fillet steak tomorrow which is honestly the best steak I've ever had.

I sit in the car when DH goes to pick up things from the shop just to have the change of scene.

And definitely saved a lot of money compared with Tesco, despite their Aldi Price Match promise thing.

Is there a gift shop there ? Love a good gift shop . I remember when we visited gift shops.....

I went to the dentist last week and had a lovely chat with them all.

Daughter had a hospital visit this week. It's the first face to face actual conversation we've had with another adult in months. We were euphoric lol

@Hahaha88, we’re having Cantonese roast duck, pork potsticker dumplings, steamed buns, rice, sesame salmon stir fry with multiple vegetables and cashew nuts, deep fried chicken wings and edamame with chilliest and garlic. We’ll be eating the leftovers for the first half of next week!

Oh going to home bargains tomorrow for toiletries and cleaning stuff DH will stay in the car so I can mooch Shop be a day out

Me and DH went to B&M today and bought some lampshades and a chair.

Last week we went to the newly opened Aldi in our town for the first time.

We were so excited.

Lol, strike through failure, that was supposed to be italics...

On Monday I'm going to the dentist, on Tuesday I am taking the car to the garage and will probably have to take the bus home whilst they sort it and then get the bus back again to pick it up on Wednesday or Thursday. Well that's my half term sorted.
