@Bedforme

Have I killed the thread? No one else been on any exciting adventures to the supermarket or the tip?

I have an appointment at the tip (yes we have to make an appointment) at 9am tomorrow - I have showered & blow dried my hair for the occasion not sure I'll be able to sleep with the excitement of it all

We're ok thanks @ssd. 4 days to go until freedom.

Can't wait to take the dog for a walk! We're having to pay a dog walker at the moment.

How small our lives have become, and how easily we have let this happen. I don't disagree with many of the restrictions (although the threat of 10 years in jail is horrendous), but I worry that this period allows an elected, democratic, government to bring in legislation overnight, without any restraint.

Like others, a trip to the dentist/hygenist/supermarket has provided social communication, which is great, but even this could be taken away overnight, if the government wanted that to happen. When people talk about 'the new normal'; depressing as that is, I think the 'new normal', whilst referring to how we have to live with Covid-19, has also shown how powerless the majority are. There are the people that hold the power, and those who are only allowed to go along with it.

The thought of leaving my flat for any reason fills me with dread these days

I turned down a path I’d never walked down before on my daily walk and discovered a small park/open space that I hadn’t even known was there. This was so exciting I had to take photos.
