hansgrueber · 13/02/2021 17:44

I chose my vaccine centre as far from home as I could to enjoy having a real burn-up on the dual carriageway, my car desperately needed it.

Same4Walls · 13/02/2021 17:47

I can top you I went for a smear last week and it actually felt like a day out. Hoe the fuck have I got to the point where going for a smear test is an exciting occasion. 😂

fizzandchips · 13/02/2021 17:47

I let my 18 and 17 year old go to Tesco last night! We had finished dinner and they asked if there was any ice cream. There wasn’t. I said; it’s half term, why don’t you drive to Tesco to get some (but get dog food and milk too!). They were so excited and thanked me for letting them go when we had already done the weekly shop! Bless. I can’t tell them what I was up to on a Friday night when I was 17 and 18!

Mrsjayy · 13/02/2021 17:49

I hope you wore your good pants for your smear Grin

I think I've the chiropodist next week be like a pedicure !

Paul72 · 13/02/2021 17:49

I agree. I go to Tesco often, well I go and do a click and collect every three weeks and sometimes I'll go into the shop while I am there to get things I forgot to put on the click and collect list.
My most exciting event in the past two weeks was getting vaccinated.

I want to go to the pub or a restaurant or anywhere

Get a rubber brush - life changing. Sorry to derail thread.

Raera · 13/02/2021 17:50

The car needed an MOT and service. I drove there and DH picked me up in our motorhome, so exciting and pretended we were going on holiday!!

LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 13/02/2021 17:51

well just remember you are walking, so don't be tempted by anything heavy you will have to carry back!

AlwaysLatte · 13/02/2021 17:52

I get that too, I went out to collect some dog food and order trees from a garden centre today and it was like an exciting adventure!

LetItGoGo · 13/02/2021 17:52

I'll probably go in tomorrow.

Currently psyching myself up.😂

Hahaha88 · 13/02/2021 17:52

[quote DrRamsesEmerson]@Hahaha88, we’re having Cantonese roast duck, pork potsticker dumplings, steamed buns, rice, sesame salmon stir fry with multiple vegetables and cashew nuts, deep fried chicken wings and edamame with chilliest and garlic. Very nice! We're having chicken Chow mein and goyozas. I can't wait

WomanInYellow · 13/02/2021 17:54

Tomorrow I am dressing up for our ‘at home’ Valentines Day dinner. I have a lovely floaty dress that I bought last year (which didn’t fit but now it doesShock) and I shall put on some tights Shock and heels, curl my hair and do a full face of makeup!

Excited doesn’t cover it. DC are going to be HmmHmm.

Yep I wore my good pants and I even shaved my legs. Poor DH doesn't get afforded the same level of enthusiasm. Grin

Enjoy your pedicure. Wink

LadyTiredWinterBottom2 · 13/02/2021 17:58

I'm so jealous. We get our shopping delivered. We live in the country and everywhere except 2 roads are mud baths. All and even the paths are covered in ice so not passable with children in tow.

Chocomel · 13/02/2021 17:59

I'm in France. We have a 6pm curfew every night and I'm excited already for my first wander after 6pm like a big girl! No idea when that is.... but I'm ready!

Did you cook all of these dishes from scratch?? I'm super impressed! Sounds soooo delicious

ghislaine · 13/02/2021 18:02

We’re going to the tip tomorrow! Big family day out.

Meowtha · 13/02/2021 18:03

I went to Tesco the other day for a big shop. Bought just me a sausage roll and ate it in the car. Event of my week.

Disneyvillain · 13/02/2021 18:10

Dropped DH for an appointment at the hospital last week and popped into Morrison’s on the way home. Ended up looking at baby clothes on sale. Don’t have a baby but I’d run out of ways to delay going home Grin

OnlyTeaForMe · 13/02/2021 18:11

@DrRamsesEmerson

I am so bored I’ve decided to mark Chinese New Year by cooking a banquet. I am not Chinese. There are only three of us to eat it.
Good one!

DH found a list of 'Food Awareness Days' and we've been having themed meals.

Last week was World Pulses Day so we had a sausage and pulse casserole thingie Grin

Pancake Day coming up next week Wink

Proudpeacock · 13/02/2021 18:11

bitheby · 13/02/2021 18:11

I drove there especially after work last night even though I knew that all the exciting stuff is taped off, yes, even the irons.

Toddlerteaplease · 13/02/2021 18:12

I got excited about having a smear test. What a time to be alive!

mrscee · 13/02/2021 18:12
