To have just bought a cat jumper. For my cat.

I've reached a level of boredom I didn't realise existed. I spent all morning thinking it was Friday. Idly flicking through Amazon and happened across cat jumpers. So bought one for my cat. Just for something to do. I am honestly worried I'm going to lose my mind soon.

I’m worried you will lose a lot of blood attempting to dress a cat! Grin

tenbananasaday · 11/02/2021 20:33

If your cat is anything like my old cat, he will really not appreciate being dressed up.

NeverDropYourMoonCup · 11/02/2021 20:33

Can't judge until I see a photo of it on the cat.

Them's the rules.

1Morewineplease · 11/02/2021 20:36

It might be cruel to dress a cat up. They regulate their heat naturally. If you put a jumper on it , it might suffer.
Why would you inflict a silly fashion statement on an animal?

TimeToCloseTheDoor · 11/02/2021 20:37

How much did you pay for it inc delivery?

The jumper, not the cat obvs

DogsSausages · 11/02/2021 20:38

Can we see cat and the jumper please

gerbilfur · 11/02/2021 20:39

£13. She won't wear it anyway. She's looking at me reproachfully right now, she senses I'm a jumper buying twat. I need to find a more productive way to use my time!

Omg! Your brave! My cat would be furious 🤣

gerbilfur · 11/02/2021 20:40

I'll take a pic tomorrow 🤪

YABU for not posting a picture of the cat

LApprentiSorcier · 11/02/2021 20:41

Are you insane Grin?

Or do you think your ceiling would be improved by an angry cat clinging to it to escape the jumper madness?

Namingtrends · 11/02/2021 20:41

Yabu for not posting a picture of the cat with the jumper

DogsSausages · 11/02/2021 20:41

She might like it, maybe she will sit on it or try and kill it.

minipie · 11/02/2021 20:42

Good luck with that...

User48484w · 11/02/2021 20:43

Yanbu for posting the best thing I read all day.

saraclara · 11/02/2021 20:44

One of my FB friends recently posted a photo of her cat in a jumper. It was one of the saddest things I ever saw. The cat looked REALLY pissed off.

Trulyatraditionalman · 11/02/2021 20:46

Pic of the cat before judgement.

Notapheasantplucker · 11/02/2021 20:47

Oh how I'd love to be a fly on the wall Grin

gerbilfur · 11/02/2021 20:48

Jumper is expected tomorrow. The cat senses it. If I survive the attack that she will no doubt assail me with, pics will be posted 😂

You will get scratched!!

NiceGerbil · 11/02/2021 20:51

I feel sorry for the cat tbh. Cats hate this sort of thing.

Why not craft a fake cat out of an old pillowcase or something like Kirsty could do, then play dress up with that?

It will take a fair while to make the cat- less boredom
Cat is not subjected to being dressed up
You keep your eyeballs and fingers

Win all round I reckon!

CMOTDibbler · 11/02/2021 20:51

I bought a chicken jumper last week if it makes you feel better. The chicken in question needs one as she was attacked and lost a lot of feather, but when looking for one I really didn't need an England Rugby one did I?

gerbilfur · 11/02/2021 20:58

@NiceGerbil I actually love the forging a fake cat idea. Alleviates my boredom and crushing existential anxiety and gives my actual cat a free pass from the jumper. Win.

Btw I see the gerbil connection in our names, I am giddy, are you a fellow gerbil owner? I wonder if they make clothes for gerbils..

@CMOTDibbler this requires and needs photographic evidence. I really feel seeing a chicken in a jumper might improve my mood

I think I found the cat jumper on Amazon.

Weird Product description; "stretchy pullover style makes the jumper easy to put on and off, suitable for poor cold tolerant puppy or hairless cat such as sphynx or Yorkie" Confused

Oh well. Maybe you could give it to a child for their teddy? if it's not ripped to shreds and covered in your blood tomorrow
