To have just bought a cat jumper. For my cat.

I've reached a level of boredom I didn't realise existed. I spent all morning thinking it was Friday. Idly flicking through Amazon and happened across cat jumpers. So bought one for my cat. Just for something to do. I am honestly worried I'm going to lose my mind soon.

Agree, a picture of the chicken strutting about in an England jumper would improve my mood. Smile

gerbilfur · 11/02/2021 21:04

@SmileyClare yes! However my cat is of glorious furriness and not remotely sphinx like. Here she is, pre jumper

I bought my cat a tie today. He doesn't know yet.

Oh dear you'll probably have to shave the cat first then.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 11/02/2021 21:09

When I was little I used to put baby cardigans on my cat. He was very good natured and didn't care - he would just lie down until I took it off. Other times I would make bow ties for him, but obviously not bow tie and cardigan together...that would have looked ridiculous.

NiceGerbil · 11/02/2021 21:10

Not a gerbil owner! Totally random name Grin

I can't see your pic but glad to have given a good suggestion Grin

LunaHeather · 11/02/2021 21:11

Pics needed.

I also thought it was Friday, both yesterday and today!

altiara · 11/02/2021 21:11

Good luck. I’m sensing your cat will be coming for you tonight!
Stay safe, stay awake!

(I once woke up to my cat tapping her claw on my neck, the next night I had a claw tapping my face - i have a dog now!)

TheNoodlesIncident · 11/02/2021 21:13

Every time I see a cat in some sort of garment and being made to sit in a pram by small girls, I always wonder how they managed to sedate the cat...

Mine would never put up with such indignity. She won't even wear a collar! I need to see cats in jumpers. And ties. And a chicken in a rugby shirt. 😍

SmileyClare · 11/02/2021 21:14

when I was little I used to put baby cardigans on my cat Grin I remember forcing our cat into my dolly's buggy and trying to push it round the garden. Sometimes the poor thing co operated in a resigned way.

@CMOTDibbler

I bought a chicken jumper last week if it makes you feel better. The chicken in question needs one as she was attacked and lost a lot of feather, but when looking for one I really didn't need an England Rugby one did I?
If it makes you feel better, I bought chicken saddles for mine. To protect their backs from the rooster, ahem... over-mating, I think, is the word. So yes, technically I've been buying chicken sex toys.

Just in case you need this.

Also worth Googling how to self-apply a tourniquet.

But don't Google cat scratch fever. Gross, and you are likely to survive it anyway.

I put one of my cats in a Hawaiian shirt recently. Didn't go down well but it was very funny, even if he bit me mid-buttoning.

Thanks for the blood cleaning tips. She's currently sharpening her claws on her scratchpost, ready for the Great Jumper War of 2021

I know this thread is lighthearted, but please don't actually put a jumper on your cat. It's mean, pets are not an extention of people - they're animals.

Buy one of those creepy dolls and dress them up to your heart's content.

SabrinaThwaite · 11/02/2021 21:37

I’d advise a cat claw clipping session before any application of cat jumpers.

I use a set of clippers from a Christmas cracker.

And oven mitts.

Snowymcsnowsony · 11/02/2021 21:37
