To have just bought a cat jumper. For my cat.

I've reached a level of boredom I didn't realise existed. I spent all morning thinking it was Friday. Idly flicking through Amazon and happened across cat jumpers. So bought one for my cat. Just for something to do. I am honestly worried I'm going to lose my mind soon.

DCat was most definitely not a fan of the post-op outfit. Only made worse by then having to add a cone on as her leg also got infected, she just moped around like there was no point in life any more Sad

@SabrinaThwaite

It just needs few tattoos and a Kalashnikov.

Hugoslavia · 12/02/2021 12:50

Seriously though, what are the chances of me posting a very random link to some chicken arms, only for another mumsnetter to casually stroll along and mention that she has not only two pairs, but a 3D printer AND had made them herself!!!

Hugoslavia · 12/02/2021 12:56

@Proudboomer

No way! I didn't know that Poundland was online! That's fantastic news as I'm down to my last Poundland card (which I have been saving to give my husband for valentine's Day!)

Our kittens has this exact brand of post op pyjamas! Their necks were too small for a cone when they were sorted.

It was the cutest thing I'd ever seen.

Mine is fairly tolerant when needs must. I have been told it's not safe for cats to wear clothes especially out door ones.

I provided dreamies, so I was permitted to live another day.

My childhood kitten. No sedatives required. Just the determination of a six year old girl. And doesn't he look so pretty in his little floral dress with his bollocks hanging out! He was ahead of his times, obviously.[/quote]
Nothing beats the determination of a six year old girl Grin. I guess being handled from a young age, including in that important socialisation window, renders a cat much more placid and accommodating. I bet he was a lovely cuddly cat when he grew up although more inclined towards trousers?

EachBleachBlairTrump · 12/02/2021 15:24

A few years ago my cat had to have a scan and had to be substantially shaved, it then snowed and he wanted to go outside but I was worried he'd get cold so I got him a cat jumper. Not only did he not object, but to this day he brings it to me and then rubs his face against me until I put it on him, and then he goes and has a nap in it. I can only assume he does it when he is a bit chilly

AlfonsoTheTerrible · 12/02/2021 15:39

Love the photographs!

All that I can offer is a video of a chicken wearing trousers: .

Janegrey333 · 12/02/2021 15:55

Thank you for the pics. Those cars are sooooooo sweet and funny.

RandomMess · 12/02/2021 16:32

Yes my DC used to dress them up in dolly clothes and pop them in the pram, they never seemed to mind.

What's your record number of items?

I play this online with one of DP's best mates (as in we send each other photos and try to outdo one another - I usually win because my cat's a dork who revels in the attention, whereas his is half a bag of crunchies away from eating his not-quite-dead-corpse at any given time).

It's quite possible to get something resembling a Caddis grub if you put your mind to it and the idiot animal has had a share of some fresh meat about an hour previously.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/02/2021 18:37

Ah , with guinea-pigs because they are thick as mince very good natured and non bitey (with the adavantage of being open to bribery) we could balance a hat on their tiny fuzzy little bonces and quickly photo before they threw them off .

My DS (21 and should know better) suggested a jumper for our cats .
Only if you're bored of having skin DS

Gorgeous guineas!

I'm a little worried that Op is so quiet and suspect she may have been killed by her cat Shock

SmileyClare · 12/02/2021 19:03

The poor chicken in trousers! Just running around thinking What the Hell is wrong with my legs today.

Mumsnut · 12/02/2021 21:37

We should club together and get the OP Amazon Prime

gerbilfur · 12/02/2021 23:58

Update!!

The jumper came, shoehorned dcat into it, however it turns out she is a little, erm, husky to fit into it. After staring at me angrily from her basket looking like a black and white sausage squeezed into a tight pink condom I took it off. Dcat shot upstairs and still isn't speaking to me.
