To have just bought a cat jumper. For my cat.

I've reached a level of boredom I didn't realise existed. I spent all morning thinking it was Friday. Idly flicking through Amazon and happened across cat jumpers. So bought one for my cat. Just for something to do. I am honestly worried I'm going to lose my mind soon.

I don't think mine would care. I play buckaroo sometimes with him and he just lies there and blinks adoringly at me

@TheNoodlesIncident

My childhood kitten. No sedatives required. Just the determination of a six year old girl. And doesn't he look so pretty in his little floral dress with his bollocks hanging out! He was ahead of his times, obviously.

Thank you for this thread - i don't even have a cat - and now i really want to know about the MNetter who made her cat a bonnet. Presumably this might have happened before Covid and such fripperies weren't as popular as they are now.

violetbunny · 11/02/2021 22:45

Someone bought my cat a woolly knitted cat hat for Xmas.

Im too scared to try and put it on her Grin

Hugoslavia · 11/02/2021 22:49

@SmileyClare

Of course they have sold out!! Why wouldn't they. I have found myself toying with the idea of buying a whole flock of chickens, just so that I could buy them some little tiny arms!

Hugoslavia · 11/02/2021 22:53

@TheHateIsNotGood

There is also a thread on classics where a lady crocheted her son a special wank mitten. I bet that there's an awful lot of mothers of teenage boys now also reconsidering the practicalities and merits of that post!

Coffeeisnecessary · 11/02/2021 22:59

I keep getting adverts for high visibility jackets for chickens which is really odd as I don't have chickens, but if I did I would defo want high vis for them so my phone knows me too well.

One of my cats has lost all his fur, we can't determine why but have tried various vet treatments and nothing has worked. I bought him a shirt to keep him warm (I may have now got carried away and bought him several different tops). I tried it on one cat, not the naked one, and he did the overdramatic "I have lost all use of my legs due to this torture" collapse. Naked cat however loves his little outfits and struts about like a boss.

On a positive side, some of his fur seems to be coming back too. The last pic is his "Chairman Meow" outfit

I would not survive trying to put a jumper on my cat.

Good luck

Hugo noooooooo, as the DM of a teenaged boy who might one day in the next few months might need to be advised that he might want a Wank Mitten, but he hates me too much right now as there's just the 2 of us and a little dog who uses me as her jumper, locked down in harmoneee. But I'll save that for the future.

No, the Right On, totally PC, polaroid Cat showing their Bollocks in a Pretty Dress c/o 6yr old works for me.

Athenajm80 · 11/02/2021 23:05

Sorry, I didn't mean to post 3 times. The bloody app was telling me something went wrong and it hadn't posted! Apologies, I have reported to get the duplicates taken down

He must be a Sphynx? He has the face and bone structure of one. He's gorgeous
Oldraver · 11/02/2021 23:09

I d I d once get bat wings for Ernie, never managed a picture though as he objected

He rocked his Christmas jumper ...for 39 seconds

ErrolTheDragon · 11/02/2021 23:09

Dear lord, the clothed hairless cats really do look as though they've escaped from a sci-fi film set.

High vis jackets for chickens? We don't know why they cross the road, but they'll do it in style and safety.

One of my cats got a wee cut and kept picking at it until she had a bald spot. She acted like a cone was killing her so I made her a little jumper out of the sleeve of one of my old cardigans to stop her from being able to lick it. She let me put it on her and wore it with no complaining for about a week and she healed up beautifully.

BlackCat91 · 11/02/2021 23:20

I knitted a hat for my cat and managed a quick photo before he forcibly removed it. His face says it all! He has been hatless ever since.🐱

@BlackCat91 that's amazing. he does NOT look happy.

CatJumperTwat · 11/02/2021 23:25

My elderly boy is skin and bone after an illness and has been huddling under radiators for the past few weeks. His new jumper arrived today.

Bless him, he looks nice and snug. Which makes your NN rather inappropriate, TBH. Unless you've got a matching...surely not...
CatJumperTwat · 11/02/2021 23:38

ErrolTheDragon Grin I do not! I posted that picture elsewhere on social media so did a quick name change.

I did feel like a twat ordering it because I'm generally uncomfortable with cats in clothes. But he was so obviously feeling the cold and I had to do something.

gerbilfur · 11/02/2021 23:58

These cat pics are just the best 😂 we do not deserve cats and dogs. Thank God for them in this lockdown
