To think not everyone washes their hands after every single wee when in their own home?

Anything other than a wee, yes of course.

But washing hands after every bloody wee is overkill in my opinion

@Mamanyt

OK, going to be a bit gross here, but...Urine, from a healthy adult is SO DAMNED CLEAN that it can, in extreme circumstances, be used as a disinfectant for wounds. And has been on battlefields forever. A large part of urine is ammonia. Ammonia kills germs. Your hands would be even cleaner if you washed them in the urine from a scientific point of view (given that your urinary tract is healthy). So, no, not every time after weeing. But ALWAYS after anything else.
No, urine is not 'so damned clean' it can be used as a disinfectant.

That's a myth that remarkably gullible people used to believe in the past. Thankfully, it's now quite well established to be nonsense.

This has GOT to be a piss take!!

Nobody is disgusting enough to wipe, touch the flush handle that everyone else in the family has touched after wiping then not wash their hands, surely???!!!

Just grim, OP.

REALLY fucking GRIM!!!!

Haggisfish · 06/02/2021 00:33

@ktp100 not a piss take, no. And yet we all survive, as do our children...

ChloeCrocodile · 06/02/2021 00:34

I'm really quite aghast at the number of people who don't wash their hands after using the toilet. My hand washing may not be absolutely perfect, but soap and water is necessary. Every time.

SymphonyofShadows · 06/02/2021 00:34

I always wash my hands because I’m not a skank. It’s actually not that difficult.

JengaJanga · 06/02/2021 00:35

Ok.

So you go to the toilet, you dont wash your hands and then you go to the shops .....

Grim!!!!!

ktp100 · 06/02/2021 00:36

Oh my God I can't believe how many of you are saying you don't!!!

I'm never ever letting anyone in my house ever, EVER again, just in case they're wrong 'uns like you!!!

ineedaholidaynow · 06/02/2021 00:36

@Haggisfish please tell me you and your family never leave your house.

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 06/02/2021 00:37

@Haggisfish, actually there’s no we if you’re immunosuppressed.or vulnerable
Colds, norovirus.flu, most people will survive with varying degree of illness
However the transmission & spread is wholly avoidable by good hygiene

Lovethewater · 06/02/2021 00:38

Wash hands every time - just basic hygiene. The wash basin is right there next to the toilet so really no great effort required!

GADDay · 06/02/2021 00:40

I am dumfounded.

The middle of a pandemic. The BEST defence against which is HANDWASHING.

Yet some people seem to proud of minging habits. Not washing hands after going to the toilet is just wrong. Lazy Not-Me-Itis

CupOfTeaAlonePlease · 06/02/2021 00:43

Honestly disgusted by the amount of people proud of their lack of basic hygiene.

Shaniac · 06/02/2021 00:43

The worst part of this thread is the absolute gobshites who think piss is clean and them not washing their hands will never hurt anyone. Its a reason for germs and viruses spreading and superbugs in the urine are becoming more common.

ZenNudist · 06/02/2021 00:46

Yes I do. Ew.

Marchitectmummy · 06/02/2021 00:46

The amount of people on here not washing their hands is grotesque. Why the hell would some toilet visits warrant a hand wash while others not! Every single time my hands are washed, my daughters and husband the same. No wonder soap became a precious commodity once the government spent so much time teaching people to wash their hands.

Reading how many dirty people makes me never want to touch anything in public again and possibly will rethink eating in public - statistically some of you dirty non washers may well work with food.

AgnesNaismith · 06/02/2021 00:47

Yuck

Wash your filthy pig hands

truthisalie · 06/02/2021 00:48

I do.

BloodyDarrener · 06/02/2021 00:49

I do. So does hubby and the three kids. Sorry.

evenBetter · 06/02/2021 00:49

Do the ‘wee is sterile!!’ simpletons just piss on their kitchen counters then? To clean them? Why not? 🥴
I’ve seen a load of posters here over the years tell on themselves for not washing their hands after changing a kids nappy. Sometimes wiping their filthy hands with a wet wipe instead, at best. People are absolutely repugnant. Never eat in peoples houses, or food they’ve made.

Sparrowfeeder · 06/02/2021 00:50

YABU! I wash my hands every time! Without exception

  • and I am no clean freak.

Yuck.

Krook · 06/02/2021 00:50

Yes, of course, every time. Even in the middle of the night!
So do my otherwise grimy teens. To be fair I have brainwashed them into doing it. It's pretty much my only parenting achievement Grin

BohemianDream · 06/02/2021 00:51

Pigs aren't filthy.

FrankButchersDickieBow · 06/02/2021 00:51

We always do. One of my luxuries is Molton Brown handwash and hand cream. We all love the smell and love to use it.

evenBetter · 06/02/2021 00:51

So many posters humiliating themselves by posting details about their piss habits 😂 not understanding base level hygiene and bragging about it. Yikes. Keep your filthy bodies away from society, cheers.
