Anything other than a wee, yes of course.

But washing hands after every bloody wee is overkill in my opinion

@Shodan

Question (and I apologise if anyone has asked this already and I missed it)- all those people who think that everyone gets wee on their hands while wiping:- how much loo roll are you using to wipe with?

Are you only using a couple of sheets or something? And are you not waiting until you've actually finished before wiping?

Not wanting to get to tmi here, but when I'm done, there's really not much left to mop up, as it were. And what there is, doesn't penetrate through the multiple layers of loo roll.

I admit, I use quite a lot of loo roll, kind of scrunched, and it covers the whole of my hand, so I'm curious as to how some people are getting wee all over their hands?

Well one lady was telling us how she doesn’t use any paper. Doesn’t wash her hands. But then changes the sheets and her clothes.
HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 06/02/2021 00:18

An emollient hand wash should help, try cerave, creame45, etc @IdblowJonSnow

Longdistance · 06/02/2021 00:18

YABU.
Oh my days, so disgusting to not wash your hands after a pee. Especially if you’re a man and touched your dick 🤮

BohemianDream · 06/02/2021 00:18

Sometimes I don't wash my face after oral. I'll have my face right in there too.
Dirty bitch. No shame.

OK, going to be a bit gross here, but...Urine, from a healthy adult is SO DAMNED CLEAN that it can, in extreme circumstances, be used as a disinfectant for wounds. And has been on battlefields forever. A large part of urine is ammonia. Ammonia kills germs. Your hands would be even cleaner if you washed them in the urine from a scientific point of view (given that your urinary tract is healthy). So, no, not every time after weeing. But ALWAYS after anything else.

MaxNormal · 06/02/2021 00:19

Aren't you meant to piss on someone if they get stung by a jellyfish?

MadameBlobby · 06/02/2021 00:19

I do, yes. It doesn’t exactly take long

And you can use poo for hand cream apparently. It forms a barrier. I think that’s from the same book as your urine tip.
HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 06/02/2021 00:22

No
Urine isn’t clean as you put it and you’re regurgitating a piss poor urban myth
Really, urine is not aseptic. It’s not a wonder fluid

Shaniac · 06/02/2021 00:22

Wash your hands after every wee.

Assuming you are a goody troll and this thread will vanish by morning.

Surely you can’t be a real fucking person who thinks it’s fine to not wash your hands? This is why we get winter vomiting bugs and shock horror normal flu and colds and stomach bugs have decreased now!

JoyIsCounterfeit · 06/02/2021 00:24

I'm not even reading through this because yes i do & I don't even have words harsh enough to condemn filthy scuzzbuckets who don't.

So you would purposely introduce e-coli to a wound?
HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 06/02/2021 00:25

I’m expecting someone to rock up about self cleansing hair after months of not washing it

The horrible thing is that there are lots of others who also are happy to say they do not wash their hands. In a global pandemic.
Wafflewife · 06/02/2021 00:27

Just remember this thread if anyone ever reaches out to shake hands with you... Urgh.

Thanks for making social distancing seem more appealing than ever.

Of course you wash your hands after you do 'every single' wee. It's a few minutes a day and it's basic hygiene.

blueberryporridge · 06/02/2021 00:27

Totally gross! Urine may be sterile when it comes out but it doesn’t stay that way for long. And even if you clean your bathroom every day there will be germs on the flush etc in between. It’s actually quite horrible to be reminded that there are mingers who don’t bother hand washing out and about handling things in shops, doors etc in public places.

OakSnows · 06/02/2021 00:28

Really bonkers thing to be proud of isn’t it!?

PADH · 06/02/2021 00:29

@pumpkinbump

I was just thinking about this after reading another thread. If a woman has a wee, she doesn't touch anything, other than the toilet roll and the flush. So is it really needed, but I always wash my hands after a well, they don't feel clean otherwise.
My sister uses this argument too, but surely the same applies if you're doing a poo? Unless you're cleaning your arse with your fingernails, why wash after not touching your poo but don't wash after not touching your pee??

Dsis says it because she doesn't piss on her hands... well hopefully you're not shitting on them either Clarissa!

Haggisfish · 06/02/2021 00:30

But tap water isn’t sterile, either, yet we drink that and wash with it? In your own home, if you don’t think you’ve pissed on your hands and you’re not meeting or shaking hands with anyone else, I genuinely don’t see the issue.

Haggisfish · 06/02/2021 00:31

If I’m honest, I apply the same logic to doing a poo!

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 06/02/2021 00:31

i Love this pick & chose which bits do science suit, mingers chose urine it’s antiseptic/cleansing/debrides wounds articles from Wetherspoon university

So if water came out of a urethra would you drink it or wash with it?
Cocacola12 · 06/02/2021 00:31

Yes I always wash my hands after regardless of what I do. Takes a few seconds. Yuk I just can’t imagine not

AubergineDream · 06/02/2021 00:32

Yes, after every wee. Not always for 20 seconds but near enough. I like washing my hands and I don't go to the toilet very often. Maybe 4 x a day?
