AIBU to think women should not be banned from Social media for asking the question - Thread 3

Many women have been suspended from sm for asking the question:

“Do you believe that male sexed people should be allowed access to changing rooms and showers for female sexed people and teenagers?”
Seems like a perfectly reasonable question which we should be allowed to ask.

Let’s vote with our AIBU.

@NotBadConsidering

We personally don't have any issues with transwomen who don't pass

Except Yaniv. You said you had an issue with Yaniv.

Yes, as a general rule I take issue with pedophile scam artists.
334bu · 01/02/2021 10:38

I’ll bet my house that no one asked the girls themselves, or if they were and/or expressed concerns about their own privacy they were dismissed.

Nobody ever asks women what they think.
Female prisons made mixed sex with no consultation with front line staff or female prisoners.
Rape crisis centres mixed sex again no consultation with front line staff nor service users. Also no follow up to see whether females self excluding as a result.
Equality Impact Assessments totally ignoring women.
Social Media excluding women for stating biological fact while allowing men to post rape threats with impunity.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 01/02/2021 10:38

And nebulous "men with fetishes". Maybe that would cause a problem if one or more were there?

NotBadConsidering · 01/02/2021 10:40

So you don’t think Yaniv is trans, he’s a scam artist? How can we tell between the likes of Yaniv and the transwomen who don’t pass who you don’t mind and the genuine dysphoric transwomen like your step child?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 01/02/2021 10:40

Yes, as a general rule I take issue with pedophile scam artists.

So what if you thought one was in the female dorm? But you couldn't prove anything? Acceptance without exception.

TheWordWomanIsTaken · 01/02/2021 10:40

How do you tell they are pedophile scam artists? Do they tell you when you ask them? Oh wait, how can you ask them when you don't know they have been included with your female child?
This is why the line needs to be drawn at none.

Whatwouldscullydo · 01/02/2021 10:40

But legally they are female and have to be reported as such. And in Canada they are also placed in womens prisons.

I'm interested in rules that would include your step chikd but exclude the likes of yaniv?

CoffeeTeaChocolate · 01/02/2021 10:42

I am still hoping to hear if it only is women who don’t need any balancing rules and if we can drop any requirements to balance state educated children in universities and ethic minority groups.

In the meantime I am also interested in how we can exclude the Yaniv’s of this world and include “genuine” trans people.

A bad solution and massive compromise (as they all are) would be to have a “no penis” requirement. I think more women (not necessarily me) would be happy if entry to female space (not positions, but changing rooms, dorms etc) required removal of the penis. Would that be acceptable to you Fastedbrownie?

I don't think boarding schools are in the habit of admitting pedophile scam artists, especially not ones still on blockers who are technically speaking still pubescent and without sexual urges.

I'm not happy at that at all. How do we know they have no penis - we are not allowed to ask nor look in their pants (not that I would want to). So how would that be policed? My bil told me he thought this could be a good solution in that he would be happy if this was the way forward. I told him in no uncertain terms that my rights to single sex spaces were not his to give away or compromise on. Having no penis does not make a male body a female body.

Do you honestly think they can specify only "trans girls" on blockers? You ought to look at the legal career of one Lily Madigan.

NotBadConsidering · 01/02/2021 10:46

I’ll give an answer to the question. The answer is there is no possible way of knowing whether the male in the female space is nice or not until they offend or don’t. That means women and girls have to be harmed in order to say the person was never suitable in the first place and should be excluded.

It’s the type of logic Joseph Heller would be proud of, only with a bit more sexual assault thrown in.

DeaconBoo · 01/02/2021 10:47

I think Yaniv is despicable, racist and a scam artist. I don't have any reason to believe they are any more or less trans than any other self-identifying trans person.

CoffeeTeaChocolate · 01/02/2021 10:48

I think that many young people at boarding school age are very interested in the opposite sex. Unless your DC went boarding at 8?

NotBadConsidering · 01/02/2021 10:49

Well it’s refreshing to see some public acknowledgment of the impact PBs have on sexual function and libido at least. Normally it’s dismissed as a fallacy.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 01/02/2021 10:49

Exactly, Deacon. And in Canada the school would get into hot water if they tried to only allow "genuine" trans children, because that's not how the law is drafted.

CoffeeTeaChocolate · 01/02/2021 10:51

TheWordWomanIsTaken I would not be happy either. I think some women would.

My suspicion is that most mtf trans gender people would rather use their sexed facilities than removing their penis. Which would be beyond hypocritical.

I would be interested in knowing if Fastedbrownie thinks that it would be acceptable.

NotBadConsidering · 01/02/2021 10:55

Ah Canada. Are you from Canada Fasted? I ask because you mention being brought up on the ice, skating etc. It’s a very North American thing. Some interesting characters in Canada. As well as Yaniv there’s Patrick Pearsall, Matthew Harks, Fallon Aubee, Adam Laboucan, all in women’s prisons. Laboucan sexually assaulted a 3 month old baby and is now in a women’s prison with a Mother-Baby unit.

Given that often it is the same drug used for chemical castration or to put women into what is essentially temporary menopause so their hormone sensitive medical issues can be treated or their ova production can be managed.

334bu · 01/02/2021 10:56

Would the school also keep secret from parents the fact that a supposedly female teacher was actually male?

Of course they do. Anybody with real world experience with them know that they completely abolish any libido. Despite having plenty of boyfriend's throughout teenagehood, sd didn't loose her virgnity until several months after coming off pb, and even now I wouldn't call it the typical libido of someone in their early 20s.

Can children consent to their future libido being abolished?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 01/02/2021 11:03

I guess that was the whole premise of the Keira Bell case.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 01/02/2021 11:03

A considerable part, anyway.

chestnutSquash · 01/02/2021 11:04

That is really sad, fastedbrownie. I think that is one of the many serious side effects of puberty blockers and cross sex hormones that isn't really talked about enough.
