These are mine - and yes, even now, if I can get myself into focussing on the now, I can feel happy in the moment of drinking these in....

  • The four beautiful snowdrops that are now out in the garden
  • Our dog having a great dream, full of wuffles and twitches
  • The vaccination numbers each day - I can't believe we have now vaccinated more than 1 in 10 of the UK population! Phenomenal
  • Good food... yup, sitting down and eating something I enjoy like scrambled eggs or a bowl of good soup makes me feel so much better... and even cherished

Being at home all the time. No expectations to go anywhere. Not feeling guilty for spending time relaxing with my DS. Being with our elderly dog and cherishing all this time together.
Oh and I've discovered the joy of a cup of tea and there's wine of course!

The £1 daffodils are here. I fill the house with them from the time they appear until the shops don’t stock them any more. They’re the essence of spring for me.

@GalesThisMorning

Bulbs coming up in my garden Being outdoors Nature Socially distanced walks with a friend from my village Slightly longer days Nice food A bath with bath salts A good book (I borrow ebooks from the library straight onto my kindle so have a free, limitless supply) How well my 19 year old has coped with having his gap year yanked away How easily my 4 year old is pleased - he's looking forward to Easter in a big way lol My husband's calm head! He doesn't go in for worrying about things you can't change.

As long as I have access to most of the things on that list I know I will be okay

A question re the library books - is it BorrowBox ? I can’t link mine with my kindle and would Love to.

I couldn't survive right now without baths. Love getting new bubble baths/soaks to try, or just simple drops of lavender oil works every time.
Copious amounts of chocolate.
Serving people books from our home library/collection service.
Listening to prog rock albums on vinyl with my bf.

ScienceSensibility · 24/01/2021 15:55

SNOW!!

It makes me so happy.

Reading.

I bought SO many books during Lockdown 1 and I’m so glad.

Netflix.

I recently discovered I have Netflix as part of my Sky Q subscription. Who knew? Now I am happily catching up on all the programmes everyone else has been talking about for a year.
‘Bridgerton’ is perfect winter viewing.

Putting the log burner on in the evenings
Lindt dark chocolate -- esp the pinch of sea salt flavour
Fluffy slippers

Getting outside for exercise every day.

Spending time with my wonderfully positive teenage daughter.

The crocuses starting to bloom.

Looking at the beautiful snow and knowing that I don't have to drive in it!

Same for me with the vit D and iron- definitely feel less tired and Vitamin D might have a protective effect against Covid and flu.

Waldorf salad for breakfast (with Greek yoghurt, honey and lime juice/zest instead of mayo). Feels like a massive treat every morning!

My daily home workout with xtrainer, weights and ab cruncher. I feel so good afterwards, and it’s been vital to my MH and maintaining my weight loss while I can’t get to the gym. DC are also doing a little bit too as they’re seeing me do itWink.

My new foot cream that has made my heel cracks disappear for the first time in years.

My afternoon and evening cigarettes.
