These are mine - and yes, even now, if I can get myself into focussing on the now, I can feel happy in the moment of drinking these in....

  • The four beautiful snowdrops that are now out in the garden
  • Our dog having a great dream, full of wuffles and twitches
  • The vaccination numbers each day - I can't believe we have now vaccinated more than 1 in 10 of the UK population! Phenomenal
  • Good food... yup, sitting down and eating something I enjoy like scrambled eggs or a bowl of good soup makes me feel so much better... and even cherished

I’ve started a regime of adaptogenic herbs to naturally increase dopamine and seratonin. I feel markedly more relaxed and capable of coping with stress.

My children - so bright and funny and kind

Teddy bear bedding- like sleeping on a cloud!

Self hypnosis and relaxation apps

Being able to sleep deeply and well.

Good drama on television or Netflix.

For me at the moment weekly zoom quizes with my brother and parents, playing uno and board games with the kids, my eldest reading her little sister a bedtime story, family walks along the beach at lunchtime (even when it’s cold and rainy it’s beautiful), trying out new recipes to bake and new craft activities with the kids (marble painting was a huge success today), building Lego together, practicing with my old hula hoop & seeing what tricks I can still do post kids, reading, snuggling up with blankets and hot chocolate on the sofa to watch a movie & finding times to sneak off with other half for a kiss while the kids are occupied

SomeoneInTheLaaaaaounge · 23/01/2021 19:16

Mac Donald’s drive through

BangingOn · 23/01/2021 19:17

Making the most of every evening at home and re-watching Game of Thrones from the first episode. Even better second time around.

Really good candles and essential oils. I always thought candles were over hyped but now I’ve found some I love I’m converted, the whole house smells amazing and it makes me happy.

Bamboo bedding- silky and so comfortable.

Trawling through all my old recipe books and trying a couple of new or revived recipes every week.

Lovely1a2b3c · 23/01/2021 19:20

@Robbybobtail

My 8yo dd hugging me and asking me if I’m ok. She could see I was upset (struggling today) and I know I need to pull myself together for her sake.

This morning the garden looked beautiful with the snow covering everything, I just sat with a cup of coffee and looked at it for a while.

My new Yankee candle just arrived in the post - smells divine!

Eating a box of champagne truffles I have later on tonight (yes, the whole box!)

Hope you're okay Robbybobtail- that's lovely of your DD.

This is a lovely thread, thank you OP!

-Rediscovering a love of exercise and starting to run again and finding that actually I'm quite good at doing home workouts and don't need a PT to get me going

  • Baking something new every week with my toddler for her and the baby to enjoy and her to take to nursery for her one day that she goes
  • Married at First Sight Australia- great trash tv to watch after kids have gone to bed
  • getting a posh 'at home' takeaway every Saturday. It's become part of a routine and gives us something to look forward to

Like a lot of other posters, the days getting lighter and the vaccination numbers rising rapidly 🙌🏻
