These are mine - and yes, even now, if I can get myself into focussing on the now, I can feel happy in the moment of drinking these in....

  • The four beautiful snowdrops that are now out in the garden
  • Our dog having a great dream, full of wuffles and twitches
  • The vaccination numbers each day - I can't believe we have now vaccinated more than 1 in 10 of the UK population! Phenomenal
  • Good food... yup, sitting down and eating something I enjoy like scrambled eggs or a bowl of good soup makes me feel so much better... and even cherished

Very similar to your's actually...

Loads of bulbs poking through, although I've forgotten what many of them are!

Possibility of snow this afternoon.

Good food, too, especially when cooked by my children ( young adults.)

My elderly mum has just had her first vaccine dose 😀... haven't seen her for so long.

Bulbs coming up in my garden
Being outdoors
Nature
Socially distanced walks with a friend from my village
Slightly longer days
Nice food
A bath with bath salts
A good book (I borrow ebooks from the library straight onto my kindle so have a free, limitless supply)
How well my 19 year old has coped with having his gap year yanked away
How easily my 4 year old is pleased - he's looking forward to Easter in a big way lol
My husband's calm head! He doesn't go in for worrying about things you can't change.

As long as I have access to most of the things on that list I know I will be okay

EssentialHummus · 23/01/2021 14:45

The vaccination programme. Hearing from so many friends that they/their parents/their co-workers have been vaccinated. Its amazing, science is so fucking brilliant.

I have a respite bubble with my mum (two disabled DC requiring pretty much 24/7 care) and she has tagged-teamed in like a boss this afternoon, loaded the car up with all four DC and taken them to her house for their dinner. My house is quiet, tidy, and peaceful. I've been so close to burnout recently so these few hours are really appreciated.

The garden is slowly waking up from winter and spring isn't here yet but it is on the horizon. We have a hard frost today but there are still little shoots peeping up meaning my daffodils will be showing in a few short weeks.

Its a beautiful day. Cold as anything (-4) but bright sunshine, white frost everywhere, and a clear blue sky.

Lillyhatesjaz · 23/01/2021 14:51

YouTube zumba
Walking with my young adult children
Baking
Junior bake off on the TV, this is a gem me and my whole family are enjoying.
I made a new year's resolution to read at least 10 pages of a book every day, so far I am keeping it.

Fairyliz · 23/01/2021 14:53

Yes I’m another one who has lots of bulbs starting to come through with no idea what they are Grin.
I’m looking forward to finding out.

My 8yo dd hugging me and asking me if I’m ok. She could see I was upset (struggling today) and I know I need to pull myself together for her sake.

This morning the garden looked beautiful with the snow covering everything, I just sat with a cup of coffee and looked at it for a while.

My new Yankee candle just arrived in the post - smells divine!

Eating a box of champagne truffles I have later on tonight (yes, the whole box!)

GigantosaurusRex · 23/01/2021 15:12

On Saturday nights DS (6) and I go to bed together early with hot chocolate and the electric blanket on to watch the masked singer together. I wouldn't normally watch it but DS absolutely loves this little tradition.

The two older kittens we adopted recently. One is still recovering from cat flu and the other was semi feral so they have both been/are hard work in different ways but so beautiful and rewarding.

A two hour walk to the shops and the park in the sunshine today and hopefully a bit of snow for tomorrow.

I'd also be lying if I didn't mention sertraline, weighted blankets, podcasts and aromatherapy diffusers too!!

Sidalee7 · 23/01/2021 15:13

Running - alone or with a friend
Good coffee
Hot baths with nice bath oil
Friday takeaways
Sunday roasts
Long walks
Watching Netflix with DC
A large g and t at 6pm on the dot.

dudsville · 23/01/2021 15:14

I'm really excited that spring is around the corner. For me I'm urging the time to pass so that everyone gets vaccinated and I can travel and see my family without risking harm to them, and spring has come to represent this for me.

Dry January - much as it is boring I do feel better and am considering extending into february.

Healthy eating - I've just recently decided to reduce carbs, and eat loads of fruit, veg and fish.

These last two points give me a sense of control and pride that I can rely on myself to look after myself.

Bitbusyattheminute · 23/01/2021 15:15

Running, although my lungs hurt due to cv and I'm a bit scared I won't be able to do it anymore.
Netflix
Books
It's getting a bit lighter every day

My dog

When bread comes out of the oven and is perfect

Being under a blanket on the sofa with a good book and a chocolate hobnob

namechangedyetagain · 23/01/2021 15:22

Going to school to work with KW and vulnerable children. I'm training this year and seeing the children every day are keeping me going.

Vitamin D. It may just be placebo effect but i feel so much better since starting it a few weeks ago.

My dog and children cuddling up to me.

A little robin that perches on our garage roof every so often. Hearing him sing away really makes me happy.

That's about all that's positive at the minute. I miss seeing my mum, my nan and my friends. I miss meeting them for coffee and a wander round the shops or a boozy lunch and a good chat. But I'm hoping that soon we'll be able to do all of those things.

Lilifer · 23/01/2021 15:22

The other day I was quite mesmerised by view from window through a steady heavy snow fall with no wind. Felt like being inside a snow globe.

Amaryllis Red Lion bulb in flower (birthday present from GC).

NY resolution; get out of lazy cooking rut. Working my way through the Tesco Christmas magazine's recipes.
