These are mine - and yes, even now, if I can get myself into focussing on the now, I can feel happy in the moment of drinking these in....

  • The four beautiful snowdrops that are now out in the garden
  • Our dog having a great dream, full of wuffles and twitches
  • The vaccination numbers each day - I can't believe we have now vaccinated more than 1 in 10 of the UK population! Phenomenal
  • Good food... yup, sitting down and eating something I enjoy like scrambled eggs or a bowl of good soup makes me feel so much better... and even cherished

Season 2 of Discovery of Witches. I loved the first season and even better, James Purefoy is in the 2nd season. I'm binge watching on Now tv

I'm doing physio for my knee after an old injury flared up and it's making me feel good to see it improving each day. I'm also incorporating some Pilates into the routine which always helps my MH

Listening to radio plays in the bath

Sitting in front of our wood burner with the snow coming down and a lovely Gin liqueur in hand.
Our newly acquired (September) beautiful rescue dog, best thing that happened to us during lockdown.
Enjoying family time with our teens without a stream of their friends coming in and out, bliss.
Less stress, slower pace of life.

My pets - they're the funniest beings I know
Part-baked cookies, so they're gooey in the middle
Camellias in my garden are all fat with buds just about to burst
Electronic music

The woods and the very preliminary signs of spring
A good fire in the evening
The amazing speed of the vaccination programme

Muttering under my breath/mask about people that annoy me

DH bought a bar of Dove soap for the bathroom and it gave me a really unexpected boost! It smells lovely, and is "naicer" than the soap we normally get.

It's the small things nowadays!

The unconditional love from my 3 dogs and 2 cats (as long as they get fed).
My lovely warm house.
The fact that I qualify in 2 months and won't have to put in 60+ hours a week.

SuperbGorgonzola · 23/01/2021 16:46

Reading

Thankful that my children are younger than school age so don't need home schooling (utmost respect for school age parents)

Cooking better food rather than just getting something on the table as quickly as possible because we're late home and the kids are shattered.

No commute, and having time to shower in the morning instead of having to do it the night before.

My grandparents having their vaccines

Purplecatshopaholic · 23/01/2021 16:46

The lovely sunny day we had today. My dog playing in the snow in the garden earlier - lifts my heart to see him so happy. One of cats is currently cuddling in to me purring like crazy. My boyfriend is cooking tea later - nothing fancy (gf pasta) but I know it will be tasty. Thanks for this thread op - feeling pretty happy and grateful for my lot just now.

I've posted about it multiple times but the Calm app has saved me over lockdown. I wake up and listen to the daily calm, 10 minute meditation. I do the breathing exercises during the day and listen to the spark podcasts while I work. Then I stretch or do some yoga and listen to the 30 day how to meditate course. At night Idris Elba reads me a bedtime story Smile

I swear I don't work for them! I just like getting my moneys worth as it's quite expensive (for me).

Skipsurvey · 23/01/2021 16:49

oh and More or Less which I discovered last year

WanderingMilly · 23/01/2021 16:49

Bloody neighbour, who has turned out to be such a miserable sod and who can't wait to run out and criticise us every day, is moving! Has only just told us and is moving next week.....it's totally made my day!

I’m still surprised by the fact that the sight of the crescent moon on Thursday night made my heart lift after a crappy day.

It was only a moon, not a cure or an answer or a solution - but it was so beautiful that suddenly things seemed survivable
