Right,

So, talking with in-laws On FaceTime who are in the age category for the first round of Covid vaccinations... and convo went like this...

DH- have you heard about vaccinations yet?
FIL- Not yet, but when they call I’ll tell them it must be the Oxford one as I don’t want a foreign vaccine!
DH- I don’t think you get a choice...
MIL- They will for your father dear, he can be quite insistent...
DH- Confused
ME- ummm, no, you’ll be offered a vaccine, you among millions are waiting for these vaccines and you think you have the right to be picky?! You’ll take what they offer you and like it! Angry
MIL- promptly bursts into tears “why is she being mean to meeeeeeee”

DH thinks I’m being unreasonable as I’ve had enough of his rule flouting, idiotic, entitled. argumentative parents and I’ve finally snapped and put them in their place...

(Those of you who followed my sons journey will
Understand my snappy attitude towards them)

Ps- the daily mail and any journos can piss off too....

Oh op, I can't believe it's nearly been a year, I've thought of you so many times.
I really hope you are doing ok, I agree that you should ask dh to take the calls away from you. At least you don't have to hear them and their nonsense.

makingmammaries · 09/01/2021 17:37

I've been thinking of you too. It is OK to be short with those horrible ILs. Your DH just needs to keep them away from you.

Just read your story OP and wanted to give you the biggest virtual hug.

You are amazing.

I wish I had your strength. I couldn't have listened to your in laws going on about something so silly after what you have been though.

Stay strong Thanks

Thinking of you @GoJetterGirl I hope post Christmas you have a chance to relax and have some calm time to yourselves Flowers

Well they’ll be waiting a while because I think most areas are only distributing the Pfizer vaccine.
My hospital doesn’t have any plans for distributing the AstraZeneca one for months.

I never forgot your threads @GoJetterGirl, i can’t believe you’re still having to put up with this pair of old cunts. (Excuse the French).

Anyone who takes their side simply hasn’t got the full story.

Unfortunately no longer pregnant, wasn’t meant to be...

DH is now fully on board, having read this thread and my previous threads... I think he needed to see the impact they’ve had on my mental health.

DH now reports MIL has turned down her vaccine, (they are only offering the Pfizer vaccine at present, she also attempted to tell them that FIL won’t be taking his, they told her that he’s not eligible for his due to being under 75 and if he doesn’t want it, they need to hear it from him!! 😂🤣

In other news, DH’s uncle tried to book his much much younger wife in for one at the same time as him, (think him mid 70’s her late 60’s and was told that he can’t do that, he asked how many “foreigners” are being put ahead of her in the queue... i am so bloody embarrassed to be relayed to these idiots, I really am Blush

On the upside, thanks to MIL’s racist bloody mindedness, they’ve been told never to darken our door again!
