I asked husband to bring me a snack (crackers and cheese) and he stopped in his tracks, refused and said aren't you on a diet anymore. Aibu to be pissed off?

Agree with cheeseboard it's not a snack at all...and if you can wait for a snack it's much better rather than trying to get someone to bring it to you.

Those sort of habits are bad.

DH and I would be very Confused if the other asked to be brought cheese and crackers!

If you're busy then you wait!

SmidgenofaPigeon · 07/01/2021 21:18

Who has cheese and biscuits at lunchtime Confused it’s a nighttime snack or dessert, preferably served with a glass of tawny port.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 07/01/2021 21:19

@Cheeseboardandmincepies

YABU. That’s not a snack, that’s like a lunch time thing.
Bloody hell, how many crackers would the portion have to be a lunch?😂
FortunesFave · 07/01/2021 21:19

Smidge I do! I sometimes have some crackers and cheese along with a little selection of ham/crisps and since we're in Oz and it's summer, cherries or other soft fruit and olives.

FortunesFave · 07/01/2021 21:20

Well you don't just have cheese and crackers!

SmidgenofaPigeon · 07/01/2021 21:20

@FortunesFave hmmm that does sound nice actually Grin

Cheese can be eaten any time of day or night!

OMG. No one cares how little you eat. Never heard the phrase 'competitive undereating' until mumsnet but it's rife on here. 😂
Backbee · 07/01/2021 21:21

No, not at night, it gives you nightmares!

SmidgenofaPigeon · 07/01/2021 21:22

@Gwenhwyfar oh absolutely, but the actual effort of different cheeses and a variety of crackers is a ‘thing’, it’s not like having a casual Babybel at 11am.

FortunesFave · 07/01/2021 21:27

borntohula I've literally just listed how much I eat with the cheese and crackers! Not a small amount at all! I don't know what got you so sensitive but you can keep it! I'm not a competitive under-eater at all!

FortunesFave · 07/01/2021 21:29

Pigeon How hard is it to slice some cheese? Confused Not hard at all! I'm surprised you can eat anything if putting together a few cheese slices and crackers is too much for you!

oakleaffy · 07/01/2021 21:30

@Travis1

Just eat him instead
He might like that.
SmidgenofaPigeon · 07/01/2021 21:32

@FortunesFave I don’t think you meant me unless you misunderstood. I feckin LOVE cheese. No moaning about slicing cheese here.

Bloody hell....If someone bought me cheese and crackers as a pudding, I'd be fuming!

That is not a pudding! At school ''Cheese and biscuits'' was the most awful pudding ever.

SmidgenofaPigeon · 07/01/2021 21:37

@oakleaffy it’s literally the only pudding I’m interested in Grin I don't have a sweet tooth. And not in a Mumsnet ‘I can’t abide sugar’ kind of way. I just love cheese and savoury stuff 😂

Brefugee · 07/01/2021 21:39

Who has cheese and biscuits at lunchtime

Me! Today i had 3 cream cracker and cheddar "sandwiches" (cheese between two crackers) and a cup of tea. My favourite WFH lunch

MichelleScarn · 07/01/2021 21:42

I just want to know what the 'child related cheese blocking activity' was!

Lucidas · 07/01/2021 21:42

@oakleaffy

Well it depends on the quality of the cheese and the type of biscuits. I’m not sure school lunches exemplify the best of either.

Daphnise · 07/01/2021 21:47

Your requested "snack" was calorific and high in fat.

So you should be grateful you were denied it, and be praising your husband.

Have a rice cracker and a glass of water instead.

Catforaheadrest · 07/01/2021 21:51

You’d be crackers to get cheesed off over this Grin

doadeer · 07/01/2021 21:54

My DH would do the same. If I said I was on a diet he would support that so he would question the cheese. I think this is a good trait.

You have no reason to be pissed off you're being silly
