Or are you a heretic?

Yes!!!! It’s the best part

Terracottasaur · 04/01/2021 19:28

Yes, it’s the best bit! Crispy and salty and delicious.

lilylongjohn · 04/01/2021 19:29

Yes

Newmumatlast · 04/01/2021 19:29

Yes. Best bit and wouldn't waste food so needlessly. Why not.just eat lots of normal potatoes if you dont like the skin on a jacket?!

Twospaniels · 04/01/2021 19:29

No I don’t, but my husband does.

CMOTDibbler · 04/01/2021 19:29

Best bit!

Toomuchtooyoung01 · 04/01/2021 19:29

Yes, also isn't that the bit with all the fibre etc?

EternalOptimist7 · 04/01/2021 19:29

Definitely unless it’s gone a bit green!

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 04/01/2021 19:29

What kind of animal doesn't eat the skin?? Might have to hide this thread before it destroys my Faith in humanity.

thinkofablinkingnamewoman · 04/01/2021 19:30

Love the skin but only if oven cooked. Hate hate hate microwaved jacket spuds

user1495884620 · 04/01/2021 19:30

Hell, yeah!

ThundercloudYouBastard · 04/01/2021 19:30

Of course! It's the best bit.

Do you salt before cooking?

devildeepbluesea · 04/01/2021 19:31

Omg what's the point of a baked potato if you don't eat the skin?!!

scrivette · 04/01/2021 19:31

Yes, that's the bit with the most fibre in it too.

Norwester · 04/01/2021 19:31

If any part of the potato is green, best avoid the whole thing!

The skin is the best part. Yum.

Summersun2020 · 04/01/2021 19:31

It’s the best bit and should be punishable by life in jail for wasting it.

Gwenhines · 04/01/2021 19:31

Why would you even bother making jacket potato if you don't eat the jacket? Might as well just make mash.

thecutback · 04/01/2021 19:31

No no no, you have to microwave for around 6-10 mins and then put in the oven for 30ish mins. You then get properly soft potato inside, and a really decent skin!

Justme10 · 04/01/2021 19:31

Only if it's crispy!

Costacoffeeplease · 04/01/2021 19:31

Absolutely. I’d rather leave the inside

redfernsydney · 04/01/2021 19:32

Oh yes!

thecutback · 04/01/2021 19:32

Could argue it's easier than making mash though to be fair

IhateBoswell · 04/01/2021 19:32

Best bit. I rub butter and salt into the skin then wrap in foil before putting them in the oven.

SunKeepsShining · 04/01/2021 19:32

Best but saved for the end with its own helping of butter. Bollocks, I need to change what we’re having for tea now!
