It's not supposed to offend anybody, feel free to add to them.

Single parents should only have secret dates for at least 2 years before introducing children to their new partners.

Teenagers should be kicked out at 18 with no financial support.

If you want friends who reply to messages on the same day and need more than annual meetups, you're needy and demanding.

Teachers are very overrated and don't work harder anybody else.

If you dare to stand up to any of the trolls on here you're 'not very bright, are you Hmm'

If you hate your child, ignore their personal hygiene and leave them in front of the tv because you just can't be arsed, you poor thing, everyone struggles.

However if you skip the dog's morning walk because of torrential rain, you are an evil person who does not deserve love and you are destroying your dog's soul.

ReeseWitherfork · 10/12/2020 21:29

In all fairness, I learn a lot from being here. Practical stuff like that I can claim child benefit (I had no idea!!), and the whole rear facing being safer thing. And softer stuff about various parenting styles and concepts. But the very heated angry discussions do often open my eyes to new ways of looking at issues.

It’s a very useful resource even if it sometimes feels like an episode of the twilight zone.

fuzzymoon · 10/12/2020 21:29

Get a cleaner / Gardner / nanny.

You have a husband problem.

Twinpeaksdancingman · 10/12/2020 21:36

That EVERY post has to have someone come along and piss on it, derail it, when they are ‘lighthearted’

Twinpeaksdancingman · 10/12/2020 21:36

*are stated as lighthearted

ItStartedWithAKiss241 · 10/12/2020 21:37

Everyone is looking for sibling names to match Clementine and Eliza and no-one is looking for names to match Harper and Lexi....

rslsys · 10/12/2020 21:38

I think you'll find you mean vulva and NOT vagina.

Wigisfashion83 · 10/12/2020 21:39

Yes!!

Linked to this, but more serious, when someone says they're having issues navigating a toxic situation with a mum/dad/grandparent there is ALWAYS a poster who plays the Dead Relative card: maybe you should spend less time worrying about this and be grateful you have a Mum. I'd do anything for mine to be here but she died

ReeseWitherfork · 10/12/2020 21:41

MIL are bad!

@Twinpeaksdancingman my second comment was meant to be lighthearted. It wasn’t in jest though, sorry if it was supposed to be(?)

ReeseWitherfork · 10/12/2020 21:42

ALWAYS a poster who plays the Dead Relative card

Ok a similar note to this... “why are you even worried about that, we’re in the middle of a global pandemic, there are bigger things to worry about!”

Baterang · 10/12/2020 21:47

If you drink more than a thimble of low alcohol wine once a year at Christmas your an alcoholic

Twinpeaksdancingman · 10/12/2020 21:47

@LolaSmiles absolutely you get it

@ReeseWitherfork no genuinely not about any posts on here, was just putting my thoughts in

Baterang · 10/12/2020 21:50

You're not your, sorry I have learnt that's a big no no, apologies!

minionsrule · 10/12/2020 21:50

Any problem with selfish neighbours should be handled with a note through the door.
Never answer the door if you're not expecting anyone.

Wigisfashion83 · 10/12/2020 21:51

If you have any sort of alcoholic drink in the vicinity of your children and even worse feel a little rough the next morning, you are not fit to be a parent.

After today’s browsing...

Giving a link to the wrapping paper you are considering buying would be outing

Whenever someone mentions thru are thinking of spending £45 on wrapping paper/£200 on a hotel night there will always be one “I’d rather spend £1 on paper/stay at home and not go to a hotel and give the East of the money to a food bank”. Who said the OP hasn’t already given thousands to good causes?

ReeseWitherfork · 10/12/2020 21:52

Someone spent £45 on wrapping paper?!

AliceMadHatter · 10/12/2020 21:53

Obviously there are people who have a problem but I find some non drinkers annoying. "You drank a whole bottle of wine in a night? you are a alcoholic. I could not have more than a glass and that's only twice a year".
redcarbluecar · 10/12/2020 21:53

30th isn’t a special birthday and you shouldn’t want to celebrate it
Anyone who hasn’t left home by the age of 22 is abnormal
If your friend does something you don’t like, cut them off
If all your friends have done something you don’t like, ‘get new friends’- it’s very easy
The police can be called, and will be attentive, for the tiniest matter
Drinking more than a glass of wine a year makes you an alcoholic

whichwallywhere · 10/12/2020 21:57

That:

Women who get married should make sure that the house is their name only and protected so their husband has no claim on it. Women who do not own a house before marriage should make sure that they have a claim on the house.

Bailiffs, traffic wardens and tax inspectors are all preferable to teachers. Teachers are only better than people on benefits who don't work or only work part time. And trolls. Sometimes.

Wigisfashion83 · 10/12/2020 21:58

You are either an anti-vaxxer conspiracist or somebody who wants a Wuhan lockdown and army patrolling the streets, no in between.

Wigisfashion83 · 10/12/2020 22:03

There seem to be a lot of random knickers appearing in people's houses !
They will either belong to your MIL or the dog will have put them there.

GrinGrinGrin

All I can add is that if you're not OPKing, BBTing and testing from 5dpo then you're doing TTC wrong.

Apart from that nothing to add that hasn't been added before. Thanks for cheering up a wet Thursday evening vipers Grin
