Sorry, what?? Got to be bacon butties, surely

Brighterthansunflowers · 07/12/2020 23:27

Love a fish finger sandwich but never for breakfast and never on Christmas Day!

Lowhangingfruit · 07/12/2020 23:27

Seemed to be traditional among the family. Doorstop bread butter and a dollop of catsup no other sauce allowed. Also never allowed in PJ's once out of bed.

No, no & no again! What kind of a monster eats fish finger sandwiches for breakfast 😮

CreamFirstThenJamOnTop · 07/12/2020 23:28

No!!

We always have croissants for breakfast on Christmas Day.

LawnFever · 07/12/2020 23:28

I love a fish finger sandwich but it’s not a breakfast thing! Confused

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 07/12/2020 23:29

Never heard of fish finger sandwiches for Christmas day breakfast!!!

Butterymuffin · 07/12/2020 23:30

No, it's just your family. Love a fish finger sandwich but never met anyone who has them for Christmas breakfast. Whereabouts did you grow up?

Thedogscollar · 07/12/2020 23:31

It's whatever you want it to be. It's Xmas so anything that takes your fancyGrin

Morret · 07/12/2020 23:31

Yabu, I definetly be politely declining breakfast if that's what was on offer Christmas morning Grin

steppemum · 07/12/2020 23:32

no!
nothing against a fish finger sarnie, but for breakfast? yuck.
On Christmas day? sorry that is weird!

waltzingparrot · 07/12/2020 23:33

Certainly not a classic in my house.

ASandwichNamedKevin · 07/12/2020 23:35

I love a good fish finger sandwich but certainly not before lunch time so YABU to think it's a general Christmas tradition but YANBU to make it your own Christmas tradition but YABW (weird!).

EveryDayIsADuvetDay · 07/12/2020 23:35

no!

Smoked salmon and scrambled egg.

More recently with avocado too.

Chocolate

Pipandmum · 07/12/2020 23:35

We have French toast and bacon. We don't eat our Christmas meal till about 5pm so need something to sustain us!

NewYorkNewYorkNewYork · 07/12/2020 23:36

🤢🤢🤢

FrankiesKnuckle · 07/12/2020 23:36

Classic hangover snack yes.
Classic Christmas breakfast no.

I could devour a FF sandwich right now, with cheese. Always with cheese.

Changethetoner · 07/12/2020 23:37

Not ever, never at Chrismas or any other day of the year. Shudder.

Santagetinmybubble · 07/12/2020 23:38

Oh never. Selection box or nothing!

JadziaSnax · 07/12/2020 23:38

Bacon or sausage butties on Christmas day, with loads of ketchup.

ClaireP20 · 07/12/2020 23:38

I usually do eggy bread for Christmas breakfast...will steal someone else's ideas on here though and have croissants this year!

ViciousJackdaw · 07/12/2020 23:39

You weren't allowed to call them butties? That is what they are! It's true, in the North, a slice of bread and butter was known as a 'butty'.

Anyway, you don't need the collective approval of MN - eat whatever the hell you want at Christmas and I hope you enjoy it.

ShatnersWig · 07/12/2020 23:40

Never eat breakfast on Xmas Day. Enough to be eating at lunchtime without more a few hours earlier.

Meatshake · 07/12/2020 23:41

Poor man's smoked salmon?

We're team bacon butties here!

littlealexhorne · 07/12/2020 23:42

Honestly I love them so much this is enticing me, I'd normally go for croissants though
