No, always salmon with scrambled eggs and blini or bacon sandwich.

Now that we're vegan it's candied carrots and no egg scrambled on blini.

CorianderQueen · 08/12/2020 12:00

Also... catsup?

I did learn yesterday that Americans often have lasagne with Xmas dinner Shock

ParadiseLaundry · 08/12/2020 12:03

I've read some totally batshit things on here over the years (that bread and milk aren't essential items being my favourite), but this really takes the biscuit!

CakeRequired · 08/12/2020 12:04

What kind of monster are you op?! It's bacon butties and chocolate on Christmas morning, nothing else! Grin

DanielRicciardosSmile · 08/12/2020 12:06

Is catsup the same as ketchup, or is there a difference? Only ever seen the word in the rubbish American books I used to read as a teenager (Sweet Valley High etc).

I love a fishfinger sandwich with cheese and ketchup, but only ever for lunchtime or evening. Christmas breakfast is bacon sandwiches and bucks fizz.

BillywigSting · 08/12/2020 12:07

No it's sausage, egg, and bacon on toast for Christmas day breakfast.

Fish fingers are lovely but have no business outside of the freezer between 24th and 26th December.

TragedyHands · 08/12/2020 12:07

Fish finger butties are nice, but hardly a Christmas Day classic.
Never heard anyone say they have them for brekkie, but each to their own, I say.

Basecamp65 · 08/12/2020 12:52

I thought traditional Xmas day breakfast was a selection box!

Lozz22 · 08/12/2020 13:10

Bacon butties and Buck's Fizz. Although this year I'm working xmas day morning and as there will be no way I'm frying bacon at 5am in the morning I'll be having pork pie for my xmas day breakfast instead

jumperweather · 08/12/2020 13:23

I have a crisp sandwich for breakfast on Christmas Day! Always have since my teens! It helped to cure my hangover from going out on Christmas Eve 😃

TheKeatingFive · 08/12/2020 13:25

Nope. Smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, toast, creme fraiche, lemon, Buck’s Fizz.

vanillandhoney · 08/12/2020 13:28

Nooo! That's all kinds of wrong Grin

Bacon sandwiches here.

TiptopJ · 08/12/2020 13:30

@Santagetinmybubble

Oh never. Selection box or nothing!
This is the only christmas breakfast needed!
laudemio · 08/12/2020 13:57

Yabu although I love a fish finger sandwich

Seriously79 · 08/12/2020 20:29

Croissant and hot chocolate for Christmas morning brekkie.

todayIdrankmilk · 08/12/2020 20:42

No way op yabu

rosamacrose · 08/12/2020 23:20

Slice off the ham and eggs Smile

starfro · 08/12/2020 23:55

Museli and yoghurt. Why would you want a big breakfast when you're having a big meal later? Yuk..

ohtheholidays · 09/12/2020 00:49

No Yuck, but I have to say I don't like fishfingers(I know I'm amongst the few)It usually changes year by year as to what I do for Christmas day breakfast.

This year I'm sticking a few croissants and pastrys into the oven and I'm going to stick a couple of types of sliced meats and cheeses on a large serving plate and serve it along side tea, coffee, fruit juice and bucks fizz.

caringcarer · 09/12/2020 00:58

That is what my 2 adult sons always have. I like Xmas tree crumpets.

Lowhangingfruit · 10/12/2020 13:32

Interesting views, I might have let slip a bit of my local lingo with catsup 😉. Maybe they can have their sandwich but I'm not cooking it!

No I would never consider fish fingers a Christmas food or a breakfast food for that matter. Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon with a Buck’s Fizz is our standard but I am wondering whether to try croissants this year after this thread.

Mypathtriedtokillme · 10/12/2020 13:39

It’s croissants with ham, cheese and pineapple in our house

OldGreyBoots · 10/12/2020 14:40

Good news, the daily fail has picked this up Hmm
