Cummings

Aibu to think this year is slowly improving

  1. Trump is going.
  2. Vaccine on horizon.
  3. Cummings going.
How the unelected bureaucrat was given all that power in first place is another story. Hopefully Bojo will now listen to his electorate for once.

Meanwhile, like you say, it’s something tangible we export.
But only economic while the UK is in the Single Market.

In the case of food shortages preferences would come way down the list of priorities.
I like razor clams, most Brits do not.

DressingGownofDoom · 14/11/2020 16:09

@FrightClub

Carrie Symonds is ambitious and well-connected but I read the 'It's all Carrie's fault' briefings as Cummings smearing the door handles with dog shit as he leaves...
Exactly. If anything it's made me warm (very very slightly) to her.
DGRossetti · 14/11/2020 16:35

With the caveat that I retain a deep scepticism that Cummings has really gone, I did like this ...

Cummings
the80sweregreat · 14/11/2020 16:52

DG , classic meme! Smile

Janegrey333 · 14/11/2020 18:09

@the80sweregreat

As I said on the other thread, apparently Dominic Cummings lorded it around ' like a rock star' and was very unpleasant ( I know it was Alistair Campbell saying all this , but he sounded in the know)
Yes, takes one to know one, I guess. Lol Campbell is now so faux-avuncular and chummy but was a rabid dog in hIs day. Cummings, though, is in a different league of rabid dogs. So glad he was booted out. Hope he rots.
LondonlovesLola · 14/11/2020 22:34

I watched ‘Brexit:The uncivil war’ this week.
The drama’s main focus is DCummings and his ‘leave campaign’.

Leaving No. 10 with his box looked like a re-enactment of the scene where he leaves the ‘leave campaign’ office after the referendum.
Mission complete.
He’s a psychopath!

longwayoff · 15/11/2020 07:55

News! NEWS! Bozo finally does what a woman asks him to do. "I don't like that man, he's nasty and so is his friend. Please sack them." As if. This is thanks to Joe Biden's little chat. Bozo's comfy back-scratching putative deals with Trump have dissolved. Who's going to prop up UK after January 2021? EU? No. China? Russia? Er no. Umm, er USA? Well maybe but Good Friday Agreement Bozo? Thanks voters of the USA for coming to your senses and disposing of Agent Orange, you've saved us from some of the worst.

WithGusto2 · 15/11/2020 13:06

I thought the same @DressingGownofDoom I thought she’s come out of the new born bubble and been like oh no what fresh hell is this!

Yes, it’s all too coincidental isn’t it? 🤔😅

Yohoheaveho · 15/11/2020 13:20

he's a psychopath!
I see him more as a wannabe Machiavellian 🤔

Yohoheaveho · 15/11/2020 13:22

Cummings though is in a different league of rabid dogs
I see him more as a weasel or a snake🤔

Machiavelli was actually quite smart ... and the comparisons pretty much continue diverging from there, really.

On the mad corruption and millions of pounds of public money going to the tory's rich mates. (havnt the usual suspects turned up on here to defend the indefensible yet? must be getting sick of trying)

Im sort of wondering now why the biden crowd seem so obsessed with Johnson?

Which crowd ? The US Team Biden, or MN Tory shills ?
Tellmetruth4 · 15/11/2020 13:43

This whole bust up was staged. He’s already ensured we get a no deal Brexit, he’s already introduced American style culture wars so that whilst we are all arguing over who’s ‘woke’ and who’s ‘non-woke’ he and his old school chums can rob the treasury blind with no oversight.

He’s probably got a high paying think tank or lobbying job lined up or will start writing for The Spectator like the rest of them.

I won’t believe he’s truly out of the picture until Gove also leaves.

user1471565182 · 15/11/2020 13:49

We keep hearing what 'the biden team' think of british politics. I have no idea who 'the team' are by the way.

LondonlovesLola · 15/11/2020 13:52

Yoho

He’s most definitely guilty of villainy! 😅

LondonlovesLola · 15/11/2020 13:55

A Machiavellian Villain is a character portrayed in literature who is a 'puppet master. ' They use other villains as 'tools' in order to get what they desires. A Machiavellian always operates in secrecy, concealing their true intentions from everyone but usually reveals himself in soliloquies.

Oh yes!

And they are relying on a team led by a former senior State Department official to handle an influx of calls from foreign leaders — all without the benefit of a secure government line or language interpretation services provided by the current State Department.

I mentioned this elsewhere, which makes me deeply cynical about the content of any chat Biden had with anyone outside the US - Boris bloody Johnson included. I dounbt much more has been said that "Hi, we'll chat more if you're still around in January".

user1471565182 · 15/11/2020 14:09

Yeah I agree, I think its just media stirring from the usual suspects who like to think we're centre of the universe.

It really helps to have read "The Prince" too.

Someone is trying to sow the seeds that the relationship between Gove & Cummings has cooled in today’s Mail On Sunday. The unattributed source(s) claim Gove backed Symonds. The same page (which I saw a screenshot of) advertises an article by Sarah Vine about “my friend Dom” elsewhere in the publication.

More convinced than ever he’ll be working for Gove next
