A group on facebook that I'm in.

Have never been accused of transphobia before and like to think I'm a tolerant and inclusive person. Quite socked and wondering if I am in the wrong here?

Clearly, I'm now close from being banned from the group. Just for context, it's a writing group.

@ClaireP20 I am. She stands up for fairness for all, even if that means saying she doesn't believe in the emperor's new clothes.

It is good to see this discussion going on in AIBU and the poll indicates that most responders are not going to put up with hatred of women that we are facing. Older feminists were indeed the first to spot what has been going on for years and the issue has opened women’s eyes to the serious damage to some young people, and to many of us who were once allies. There are many links to legal actions being brought and most of the new imaginary legal policies are being challenged by brave women and girls.

Women don't have penises.
I used to be sympathetic to people with genuine mental health issues. But this is a sick fetish and a cult. If I'm a transphobia, or a terf, I wear this crown with pride.

PhilSwagielka · 29/10/2020 18:38

I’d have thought that most trans men wouldn’t want to get pregnant because it triggers their dysphoria.

@Langrycleg

I just noticed that another thread on this topic was taken down overnight.... does anyone know why? Can we have it back up MN . More women seem to be waking up and cancelling our voices is not a great look
They said there was name calling but I’d just finished reading it when it was pulled and there wasn’t. No idea why it was really pulled.
Tissueboxcover · 29/10/2020 20:14

Was the other thread on FWR?
That is probably why it was pulled.

Datun · 29/10/2020 21:12

I don't think so, no. It was on here.

Tissueboxcover · 29/10/2020 21:32

It would be so helpful if MN would explain why threads are deleted. Maybe tell the person who started the thread, or the person whose post caused the deletion, or what the complaint was.
It would be informative and useful for everyone.

Welcome to this brave new world where voicing an opinion of biological sex is "literal violence", rape threats towards women are considered acceptable by social media companies, and menstruators and should just Be Kind.

I'd love to know how schools, colleges, and universities are teaching human biology nowadays. Do they have to redact any text books that mention chromosomes, sex hormones, or reproduction in order to fit with the Twitter ideology of everyone is whatever they say they are. And how do languages teachers broach the subject of singular and plural? He / she / it, but can also be they?

Remember cervix havers, we should all stop being everything phobic and start being kind🙄

CandyLeBonBon · 29/10/2020 22:36

@CurbsideProphet you'll be glad to know that there has been a recent change in the way that schools are to deal with the topic of sex education/gender expression. They have been explicitly told not to say that you can be born in the wrong body/you can change biological sexual etc. There was a big announcement a couple of weeks ago - where mermaids and stonewall (I think) had to do a lot of backtracking. I'm hoping someone might have a link as my recollection of the exact details is a bit hazy. It was definitely a step in the direction of rational conversation about these topics.

Sewrainbow · 29/10/2020 23:03

FWIW I agree with you op.

PhilSwagielka · 29/10/2020 23:55

I’m a translator and I use ‘they’ as a default pronoun and an alternative to ‘he’. None of my clients have complained. He/she and s/he are clunky and ‘he’ is sexist.
