And it doesnt belong on a roast dinner either?

Love veg and love cheese but not mixed. Ergh, just no!

YABVU!!

Just this evening we had my -if I do say so myself- amazing cauliflower cheese with our roast chicken.

What’s left over will go with shepherds pie tomorrow evening 🤤

Leeds2 · 18/10/2020 21:52

Cauliflower cheese belongs everywhere!

Grapesoda7 · 18/10/2020 21:53

I love cauliflower cheese, if I go to a carvery, half my plate is filled with it.

I on the other hand, can't stand Yorkshire pudding.

TheDuchessofMalfy · 18/10/2020 21:53

I agree!

I don’t like it anyway, but it’s definitely not part of a roast dinner. Nothing to do with a roast!

JamminDoughnuts · 18/10/2020 21:53

I love cauliflower cheese, but a faff to make it with a roast

GetRid · 18/10/2020 21:54

I love it, though I do feel the need to keep the cheese sauce and the gravy on opposite sides of the plate

Petitmum · 18/10/2020 21:54

I love cauliflower cheese - but it has no place on any plate that has gravy on it!!!

Beaverdam100 · 18/10/2020 21:54

I love every food and will eat anything but cauliflower cheese really disgusts me.

It’s a bit like the urge people seem to have to have mashed potatoes with a roast. Just why?

cricketballs3 · 18/10/2020 21:54

Love cauliflower cheese, but not anywhere near gravy- it definitely doesn't belong anywhere near a roast dinner

myohmywhatawonderfulday · 18/10/2020 21:54

Please feel free to send yours my way.

Whichoneofyoudidthat · 18/10/2020 21:54

My son hates it.

He's out of the will, of course.

Badoukas · 18/10/2020 21:55

Mmm I lurrrrve cauliflower cheese!

cricketballs3 · 18/10/2020 21:56

Sorry, only just seen this...and words fail me
j712adrian · 18/10/2020 21:56

Eh? It's the THING THAT MAKES A ROAST

FACT11!11!!1!!!!

Fishfingersandwichplease · 18/10/2020 21:57

Go and think about what you have said Op!!

ilovepixie · 18/10/2020 21:57

I'm having a roast tomorrow and now I want cauliflower cheese with it or even better leeks in cheese sauce!

starfishmummy · 18/10/2020 21:58

I was rold that cauliflower cheese is a meal in its own right and that for a side dish it should be served in a white sauce.

MJMG2015 · 18/10/2020 21:58

Cauliflower cheese is the food of the Gods

A bunch of different veg & a good cheese sauce is a staple dinner here.

lioncitygirl · 18/10/2020 21:59

Sounds bloody dreadful to me. Cauliflower does not belong anywhere to be honest. Who wants that when you have broccoli! Cauliflower is like a wannabe broccoli. Urghh.

Ihatesandwiches · 18/10/2020 22:00

I'm with you on the cauliflower cheese. Family of cauliflower haters here. However, broccoli cheese, that's a whole different thing! We love that. But, as you say, not with a roast dinner. Cheese sauce, gravy, mixing, yuck!

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 18/10/2020 22:00

Cauliflower cheese with a roast dinner is an abomination. Anyone who does this should be ashamed! It's not normal and no carvery I've ever been to has has Cauliflower cheese on offer.

OrtamLeevz · 18/10/2020 22:00

I'll have you know we had cauliflower cheese with our roast chicken today. Agree that gravy on it is a no-no, but otherwise it is yum. There's some left over and we will be having it with gammon tomorrow.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 18/10/2020 22:01

My exMIL used to serve it with Christmas Lunch.

I make it to go with Christmas lunch and it’s bloody lovely, if I do say so myself.

No carvery I’ve ever been to didn’t.
